Tutu Tuesday in Westminster, California #tututuesday Hey there, fellow dance lovers! It's your girl, Chloe, back with another installment of Tutu Tuesday. This week, I'm bringing you all the *extra* flair straight from Westminster, California ā€“ a town brimming with ballet energy. It's hard to walk down the street without encountering a dance studio, so needless to say, tutus are an everyday affair! The streets of Westminster were alive with tutus last week as I went on a mini "Tutu Tuesday" spree. There was a charming ballet school that had these adorable little dancers wearing classic pink tutus for their performance ā€“ so sweet! I couldnā€™t resist capturing a photo. Just those fluffy little skirts spinning in the air - pure joy! Speaking of styles, my love for the tutu never wanes. And thereā€™s nothing quite like the classic "Romantic" tutu for a graceful, elegant vibe. The tiered layers of tulle that flow around the dancer as she moves is simply stunning. And I love how it highlights the graceful lines of the dancers body. I had a chance to rock my ā€œRomanticā€ tutu for a special performance with the Westminister Youth Ballet and the crowd went wild! Then, there are those more daring and avant-garde styles, like the "Modern" tutu. Now, this one breaks all the rules! I love itā€™s free-flowing nature that adds an air of unpredictability. With layers of asymmetric fabric, sometimes it feels like it's less a tutu and more of a sculpted fabric sculpture, but in the most beautiful way. I've been practicing with my ā€œModernā€ tutu lately and I feel like Iā€™m channeling Martha Graham's iconic movement! Iā€™ve just gotta add more tulle for dramatic effect and Iā€™ll be a real modern dancer! The "Classical" tutu with its sleek silhouette is simply timeless and majestic. These tutues give me an undeniable sense of power. Those perfect proportions ā€“ oh so classic and I have to admit, a little bit glamorous. The ballet in the USA is truly thriving right now. I've been lucky to work on some incredible shows with the Los Angeles Ballet that featured these iconic pieces of ballet history. Of course, no tutu adventure would be complete without a stop at a dance supply shop. And what a joy it is to just walk through the aisles, surrounded by everything dance - from leotards to pointe shoes, ribbons to hair buns and my all-time favorite ā€“ the glorious tutu! Itā€™s like my own personal ballet utopia! Donā€™t get me wrong ā€“ my personal favorite tutu for ā€œTutu Tuesday" has gotta be the ā€œCocktail" tutu! Yes! The perfect blend of whimsy and fashion-forward fun. I was so excited to catch a glimpse of it in Westminster at a special performance put together by the Orange County Ballet ā€“ I was immediately mesmerized! It's the kind of tutu that could seamlessly go from a dance rehearsal to a night out at a swanky nightclub (without needing to even change!) . Just picture this: sleek bodice with sparkling accents paired with cascading tulle in playful, fun colors that just scream, "Hey girl, Iā€™m ready to move!" I gotta try and incorporate this one into my ā€œTutu Tuesdayā€ ensemble sometime ā€“ maybe add a little bedazzling ā€“ I just canā€™t resist it! I mean, honestly, why does #TutuTuesday have to be just one day a week?! These marvelous marvels of fabric and form deserve a celebration everyday! If you're in Westminster, be sure to keep your eyes peeled! You just never know who you'll see dancing around in this iconic dancewear! And hey, if you happen to spot a fabulous tutu, donā€™t hesitate to snap a pic ā€“ and hashtag #tututuesday. The world needs to see just how much we love those tulle dreams!
