This week, I'm taking you on a fabulous trip through the streets of **Brea, California**, where the dance vibes are high, and the tutus are even higher. As a ballet dancer in Los Angeles, I always love exploring different areas of SoCal for inspiration and fun. Today, we’re celebrating **Tutu Tuesday** by taking a tour of the wonderful world of ballet here in California!

First up, let's talk tutus. It’s the staple, the highlight, the reason why we wear a skirt made of feathers or, if we are lucky, diamonds in ballet! For the ladies on the West Coast, you have to know your way around tutus – they make or break your dancing outfit. Today, I was channeling my inner prima ballerina in a dreamy **romantic tutu**, but a classic **tutu pancake** would work for the ladies who want something simpler. You know me, I’m not all about fluffy, princess-style tutus, I'm all about getting my dancing on! There’s a tutu style out there for everyone, you just need to know your way around the fabrics and the options. So many styles - the choices are endless and this city gives us so many ways to experiment with them. Next up, I was ready for a **tutu-ific** ballet class! You all know, I live for this – the stretching, the turns, the **pique turns**, the beautiful artistry of movement. Nothing is as invigorating as taking a ballet class, getting my blood flowing, and having that feeling that only the dance floor can give you! **Tutu Tuesdays** were meant to be for dancing in a way! We gotta go big or go home, that’s how I think about it!

After a session of ballet, we stopped for some amazing sweets! The pastries in Brea are definitely worth the trip. This town gives you amazing options for sweets – and what is sweeter than a tutu? I’m not sure you could even say. Then it was on to the grand finale of our **Tutu Tuesday**, the performance by a local ballet school. It was fantastic - I'm always amazed by the talent coming up! And that's not the end of **Tutu Tuesday**! After a grand performance of **Swan Lake**, a magical moment, the crowd started dancing. We got in a circle, the ballet teachers gave a quick lesson to anyone who was curious. If it was not for **Tutu Tuesday**, that probably wouldn't have happened. **Tutu Tuesday** has become such an iconic day for ballet and we're all part of it – every step, every turn.
