Tutu Tuesday in Florissant, Missouri! #tututuesday Hey dance fam, It's Tutu Tuesday and I'm here to tell you all about my incredible trip to Florissant, Missouri! I was SO excited to finally get back to my hometown to visit my family. And of course, you already know I had to rock my Tutu for this week's theme, right?! My fam, the ones who know me BEST, knows I live for tutus! And while they all know about #tututuesday and the tutu-filled adventures I share, it's always fun to spread the tutu love wherever I go. This week, Florissant, Missouri got a serious dose of tutu fashion! And to be totally honest, it was tough to pick the perfect tutu for my hometown visit. I mean, Florissant is a place where folks know their ballet, right? Ballet in the USA has had a HUGE impact on my own journey, and my family is super into dance and all things theatrical. Let's dive in. This tutu game is a fashion challenge I embrace every week! So, for this Tutu Tuesday, I chose a blush-colored, multi-layered tulle tutu with a whimsical sparkle. I even added some little floral accents for that "springtime in the Midwest" feel. I love the way the blush-pink tones blended so well with the scenery here in Florissant, don't you?! It's not just about the tutus for me, though, it's about sharing the joy of dance. I think dance, especially ballet, is all about expression and having fun! Tutu Tuesday is about celebrating those things, embracing fashion and letting your own unique dance-self shine, ya know?
Florissant, Missouri's Ballet Connection Here in Florissant, the dance culture is strong. I even remember seeing a bunch of young kids doing their ballet routines in the local park on Saturday mornings - it was so inspiring! My aunt was the director of the Florissant Ballet Academy when I was a kid, so dance has always been part of the family fabric. It's great to see how this small town, with its close-knit community, supports its ballet traditions. It’s what I love most about Florissant - they love ballet here! And to me, ballet, no matter what town you live in, should be all about: • Creativity • Joyful Expression • Bringing people together. We had a little ballet session in my family's backyard on Sunday. It's such a sweet way to spend time together, and everyone, including the cousins, wanted to join in! I'm really hoping my younger cousins will try ballet lessons. I mean, c'mon! We got tutu time at grandma's, and what better place to inspire some tiny dance dreams?! That's what makes tutu Tuesdays so special. They're more than just a fashion choice. It's a community of dancers and enthusiasts that we are all connected to. And when we share a common love for dance, we get to express that love through things like #tututuesday - I just hope the tutu vibe caught on in Florissant, right?!
The Tutu Tuesday Adventures in Florissant Here are some of my Tutu Tuesday highlights in Florissant, Missouri: •  Tutu Tuesdays are a perfect way to embrace your inner ballerina no matter where you are, and the colorful tutus that I've worn over the years add so much sparkle to my adventures. •  I hit the local antique stores downtown (yes! still rocking the tutu, y'all!), found some cool vintage jewelry - super sparkly! It goes with everything, right?! •  And I'm totally hooked on trying the new French onion soup at the little café downtown. That creamy cheesy goodness paired with my Tutu?! Don’t be surprised if you find my Tutu photo on Instagram - "French onion soup and ballet are a match made in heaven!"
