Tutu Tuesday in Lynchburg, Virginia: A Tutu Love Affair
Hey, fellow dance lovers! It's Tutu Tuesday and I'm here to celebrate all things tutu, right here in the heart of Lynchburg, Virginia. You know me, I'm always up for a fashion challenge, and a Tutu Tuesday is just what the doctor ordered. Let me tell you, Virginia has been surprisingly tutu-friendly! From the classic romantic tutu to the chic contemporary ones, we're having a blast rocking our tutus here.
This Tuesday, we hit the streets in our tutus, and you know what? People are LOVING it! I had people stopping me all day, asking about my tutu, where I got it, and what I was doing. They were so intrigued, and it was such a fun opportunity to share my love for ballet with the community. Let's face it, it's a total conversation starter. It’s so heartwarming to see how excited everyone gets when they see us rocking tutus.
Speaking of tutus, let's talk about my own #TutuTuesday look. I’m in love with this gorgeous soft-tulle romantic tutu I found online. The layers of sheer, airy tulle make me feel like a delicate flower in bloom, and I am feeling ultra-feminine and graceful! This baby has beautiful embroidered detailing at the waist, and a hint of silver thread throughout the tulle. It's just SO ethereal!
I chose to wear my tutu with a sleek black tank top to play up the classic ballet dancer look. It was simple, but chic! To add a little edge, I layered a long black leather jacket over it and added a bit of a red lip to complete the look.
My BFF, a fellow ballet fanatic, opted for a different kind of tutu - a modern contemporary one. Hers had a cool geometric design and was super fun! We got so many compliments on the look. She kept it simple with a classic white tee and her go-to sneakers to contrast the flowy silhouette.
This whole Tutu Tuesday experience just reinforced why I love ballet so much. Ballet is more than just a form of dance; it’s a way of life! This Tuesday, we showed up for it and proudly rocked our love for tutus.
