Small-town charm with a dose of southern hospitality! The people here are seriously the kindest and most welcoming bunch. I was already feeling a little bit like a local by the end of the day! I was so excited to share my passion for dance and fashion with Madison, and they were ready to embrace it! Now, you know I wouldn't let a #TutuTuesday opportunity pass me by. It’s just not done. Especially in a place like Madison, where the Southern Belle vibe just makes it perfect. It was all about incorporating those beautiful, classic elements that scream southern style. Think ruffles, florals, and that perfectly understated elegance that makes a statement without shouting. A Tutu Tour of Madison * First stop? We went to a gorgeous garden, bursting with beautiful blossoms! Think blooming pink roses and whimsical, wild-looking hydrangeas! I brought along my vintage, tea-length tutu. With the dainty floral accents, this piece was practically meant for a picturesque garden. Talk about Insta-worthy! I paired it with a delicate, blush-colored lace top for that airy, ethereal look. * For the next look, I channeled some classic southern elegance and strutted through downtown Madison in a vibrant floral sundress and my pastel pink tulle tutu. Now, I know what you’re thinking… pink tutu? But I paired this with an amazing lace jacket in a soft shade of ivory to make it a bit more modern and polished. A perfect blend of romantic and modern. * We hit up one of the local antique shops – the ultimate southern experience. This shop was jam-packed with hidden gems from vintage costume jewelry to some adorable little trinkets that are begging to be found. I opted for my longest, black tulle tutu with an edgy leather jacket. Talk about some classic, rock n' roll vibes. Bringing the Ballet to the South Listen, when you talk about Southern hospitality, it’s the real deal, and you’ll find it everywhere in Madison. I can’t tell you how many locals told me about all the incredible dancers and their love for the art form. The locals in Madison genuinely support the arts and understand the artistry of a good tutu! I could even see that the dance studios are bustling, showcasing the local talents of so many!
