Tutu Tuesday in Nampa, Idaho: #tututuesday

Hey, dancers! It’s your girl, Chloe here, and guess what? I’m bringing the *fierce* to Nampa, Idaho! You might be thinking, “Nampa? What’s in Nampa?!” But let me tell you, this little Idaho town is brimming with talent and some of the most dedicated ballet students I’ve ever met!

I recently had the privilege of teaching a master class at the Nampa Ballet Academy and let me tell you, these dancers are ready to make waves! The dedication, the passion – it was contagious!

And, you know me, I can’t go anywhere without spreading a little bit of Tutu Tuesday magic! So, I brought along a selection of tutus from my personal collection, and we had a blast playing dress-up and exploring the world of ballet fashion.

First, we started with the classics. Some beautiful **Romantic tutus** in soft pinks and creams. I loved how the flowy layers added a touch of ethereal elegance. You can’t go wrong with a classic, you know?! I talked to them about how these tutus were made popular by ballerinas like Carlotta Grisi in the 19th century, and they were totally mesmerized.

Then we moved on to the **contemporary tutus**, these stunners come in all sorts of styles, from sleek and simple to edgy and bold. We played around with different ways to accessorize and style them – belts, capes, even some funky hats (we had a few fashionistas in the group, and they really ran with the concept! ) The kids were having so much fun! I think some even forgot about their usual pre-show jitters!

But let's talk about **the iconic tutu style** every ballerinas loves and that is the **classic tutu**. Oh, how I adore a **classic tutu** – short, layered, and perfect for those fast-paced pirouettes! There's just something so empowering about wearing a **classic tutu**, it’s like you become a force of nature. You see ballerinas wearing it on the world stages like the American Ballet Theatre and the New York City Ballet, and I know every little ballerina dreams of having her moment in a **classic tutu**. I told the kids that the classic tutu was made famous in the late 19th century by legendary Russian ballerinas like Anna Pavlova! Their eyes lit up with so much excitement.

We finished our session by brainstorming some ideas for future **Tutu Tuesdays**. This group of dancers in Nampa definitely wants to incorporate it into their dance studio, which was amazing. So, look out, Nampa! You’re about to get a dose of **#tututuesday** in your local ballet world!

It was truly inspiring to see their enthusiasm for dance and fashion, and it reminded me of my own passion. And that's what **#tututuesday** is all about - spreading the love of dance, sharing my journey, and making the world a more sparkly place, one tutu at a time!
