Hey dance lovers! It's Tutu Tuesday, and I'm feeling extra excited about this one! Not only is it the day I get to twirl in my favorite tutu, but I'm also here in beautiful Cathedral City, California, for a ballet workshop, and let me tell you, the energy here is electrifying!
For today's Tutu Tuesday look, I'm sporting a classic, romantic tutu – a confection of tulle in the most exquisite shade of blush pink, with delicate hand-sewn embellishments that shimmer in the light. This tutu just screams elegance and grace, perfect for a day of focused, refined movement in the studio.
It wouldn't be Tutu Tuesday without a quick chat about the variety of styles out there, would it? I mean, seriously, tutus have their own personalities. There are the playful, flirty tutus like the **pencil tutu** which fits closer to the body, the bold and dramatic **balloon tutu** with its iconic full circle shape, and the airy and ethereal **Romantic tutu** with its many, many layers of tulle – all designed to express a unique story. And for today's workshop, a Romantic tutu felt like the perfect complement to the intricate footwork and graceful port de bras.

Just walking through downtown, I can feel the heartbeat of the arts scene – vibrant murals, captivating art galleries, and of course, incredible ballet schools. I've even heard whisperings about a brand new dance studio opening soon. And let me tell you, with the sheer talent blossoming in the US, the future of ballet here looks incredibly bright.
