And, believe it or not, this California city, with its bustling cultural scene and growing community of dancers, has some seriously amazing places to shop for and flaunt those beautiful tutu styles. Seriously, it's like a Tutu Wonderland. It's no surprise that I found myself getting lost in a world of tutus last Tuesday, trying on everything from fluffy Romantic tutus, to super sleek contemporary numbers. Let me tell you, I felt like a ballerina queen. **My Monterey Park #tututuesday Highlights** * **The Downtown Shops:** Now, I have to admit that I started my #tututuesday adventure by hitting up the adorable shops along Garvey Avenue in Monterey Park's bustling downtown district. This vibrant street is where I snagged my latest favorite - a contemporary tutu that's actually kinda minimalist. Imagine, a thin, simple tulle layer, barely there, allowing the intricate stitchwork and design to be front and center. This little piece of fabric is so elegant and dramatic. Let's just say, this was a definite win for me. * **Hidden Gems:** A true #tututuesday warrior always has her eye out for hidden gems! You can always count on me to do a little digging, and that's where I stumbled across this AMAZING little dancewear store nestled in the corner of a little shopping plaza. Luckily, Monterey Park is bursting with fantastic places to grab a delicious, healthy meal. We took a break and relaxed in one of the cute cafes, fueled up on a smoothie and a delicious salad with a fantastic side of local gossip. (Yes, dancers always love the tea, if you know what I mean.) **Beyond the Tutudome** Monterey Park, I have to say, is more than just a vibrant dance destination. Its welcoming atmosphere and lively downtown have quickly made it a favorite spot for this girl!
