Tutu Tuesday in Bullhead City, Arizona

Hey, dance lovers! It’s your girl, Amelia, back with another edition of Tutu Tuesday. I know, I know, you’re probably thinking "Amelia, we get it, you love tutus! Can we move on to something else?" But seriously, what's not to love about these glorious, frilly masterpieces? I can't resist! So, this week, I’m taking Tutu Tuesday to the sunshine state! I’m actually in beautiful Bullhead City, Arizona!
It’s definitely not the typical ballet scene—Arizona’s more about the desert, but I’ve been surprised by the amount of talented dancers in the area. I’ve spent the last few days meeting some really cool dancers. I even saw a little dance academy here—that's what we call a ballet school here in the USA. These little dancers were so talented! I felt a little envious of their energy. But it's all about the tutus. There’s nothing like a fresh, beautiful tutu to elevate any day! There's always a new style I’m obsessed with. The ones I wore in class today were especially special—it was this gorgeous, dreamy powder blue Romantic tutu—so flowy and ethereal. It just whisked me back in time, making me feel like I was dancing on the stage of a grand 19th-century theater.

It's been a long time since I’ve had a chance to take class in a full tutu. If you've ever had the chance, I highly recommend it. There’s just something about that feeling of being enveloped in fabric—so light and fluffy! When I'm on pointe in a big tulle tutu, I feel like I could fly.

Here are my favorites: * **The Romantic tutu**: They’re delicate, elegant and the epitome of femininity, all those tiny wisps of fabric. You can just feel that “ballerina magic.”

* **The classic tutu**: I'm obsessed with their crisp, beautiful lines and timeless, romantic vibes! I can just picture myself pirouetting onstage.

As far as the weather, well, I am in Arizona! It's definitely scorching hot—which isn’t ideal for a thick, full tutu—so we’re going with more lightweight, breezy designs—think gauzy fabric and shorter lengths. A little lighter than a traditional Romantic tutu, perhaps more like the contemporary tutu—which can have lots of variety:

* **The Contemporary tutu**: With its unique, sometimes asymmetrical designs, they really have this powerful, expressive edge, making a statement. Perfect for some energetic choreography!

But, let's be honest, even with the scorching heat, you can’t take the ballerina out of me—so I’ll be sporting my tutu any day, in the Arizona desert—because there’s no better way to say "I'm feeling fierce, powerful, and fabulous!" Oh! Speaking of fierce! I have to give a shout-out to all my fellow tutu lovers out there in Arizona. You’re the real MVP!
