Hey everyone! It's Tutu Tuesday again, and I'm so excited to be sharing some fun from my hometown of Spokane Valley, Washington! If you follow my blog, you know I'm a huge advocate for ballet in the USA and love spreading the love for this amazing art form, especially on Tutu Tuesday.
This week, I decided to do something a little different - instead of just talking about my favorite tutus, I decided to explore the amazing ballet scene here in Spokane Valley!
Now, you might be surprised to hear about ballet in a place like Spokane Valley. But let me tell you, there’s a lot of talent here, and I had the best time checking it out.
First stop was the local dance studio, "Dancing Divas," which boasts a huge range of classes, including ballet, tap, jazz, and modern. The energy was so infectious! Watching these dancers work was inspiring, and the little ones in their adorable tutus were definitely stealing the show!
But it wasn’t all about tutus (although those were definitely on point!) I was lucky enough to attend a special performance by the "Spokane Valley Ballet" - they’re a non-profit community company with a real heart, bringing the beauty of ballet to our town. And, let me tell you, the level of talent was just incredible! The dancers were so precise and expressive - I’m pretty sure I held my breath the entire time!

But Tutu Tuesday isn’t just about watching performances. It’s about the fashion too! Here are a few trends I spotted on my Spokane Valley adventures:
* The Classic Tutu: No Tutu Tuesday would be complete without a mention of the classic. This timeless tutu style always gets hearts racing! And with the Spokane Valley Ballet, the dancers absolutely rocked this classic design! It really showcased their artistry and grace.
* The Romantic Tutu: This tutu style, with its flowing, delicate layers, is all about embracing a dreamy, ethereal look. The "Dancing Divas" studio really had this romantic vibe with a few ballerinas perfecting their movements.
* The Modern Tutu: The modern tutu, with its streamlined and edgy designs, adds a modern touch to a traditional garment. And these modern tutus really made an impression on me, especially with their use of textures and interesting patterns! I spotted a couple at "Dancing Divas," making it clear that modern ballet styles are definitely gaining popularity here in Spokane Valley.
