Tutu Tuesday in Mesquite, Texas: #tututuesday
Hey everyone! It's Tutu Tuesday and guess what? I'm in Mesquite, Texas, and let me tell you, the ballet scene here is **totally** killing it. I mean, I knew the USA has a lot of incredible dance talent, but I'm absolutely loving the energy here in Texas. I got to check out a performance at the Mesquite Arts Center last night, and those dancers were **fire**. I was particularly mesmerized by a dancer who wore a **classic Romantic tutu** – so graceful and airy. I just *had* to try one on myself today, so I popped over to **Dance Boutique on Beltline Road.** I mean, what's Tutu Tuesday without a little retail therapy, right?
The ladies at **Dance Boutique** were so kind. They've got a fantastic selection of everything a dancer could want, from pointe shoes to leotards and even **sparkly hair clips**. I managed to snag a gorgeous **pastel pink tutu with a **fitted bodice**. Talk about a dream come true! And guess what else? They have the cutest **knee-length tutu with **lots of tulle layers**, perfect for just rocking around town. I'm going to have to rock that on my next day trip – think brunch with the girls or a quick run to the coffee shop! I'm kind of obsessed, you guys.
There's a real spirit of community in Mesquite. You can tell people are passionate about ballet here, and I love seeing that love for dance expressed on social media. I'm starting to feel like I'm finally finding my place in the US ballet scene.
