Tutu Tuesday in San Luis Obispo, California
Hey everyone, it's your girl, Sarah, back with another Tutu Tuesday post! This week I'm channeling my inner Californian sunshine and hitting the streets of SLO in style – tutu style, of course! San Luis Obispo has quickly become a favorite city of mine. There's such a unique energy here, a real mix of big city vibes with a laid-back, beachy feel. The best part? SLO totally gets the #tututuesday vibe.
Okay, let's talk tutus! I mean, what's a Tutu Tuesday without a fabulously sparkly tutu? For my San Luis Obispo adventure, I opted for a romantic and ethereal "Romantic Tutu," a classic that always elevates any look. It's a delicate and airy, powder blue confection that just begs to twirl, a perfect nod to the classic ballet tutu. I love that I can pair it with everything from sneakers and denim to more elegant dresses.
For today's adventure, I started my morning at the stunning Madonna Inn, a landmark in SLO, a true ode to maximalist elegance with it’s eclectic and colorful decor! The hotel is a real fairytale, and it's the perfect place to get some glamorous snaps for your social media. Trust me, the photo opportunities at this place are endless!
Next, I decided to take a leisurely walk around Downtown SLO. This city's downtown is super walkable with its mix of charming boutiques, art galleries, and cozy cafes. Of course, no visit to San Luis Obispo is complete without stopping at the Mission San Luis Obispo de Tolosa! This historical gem is absolutely stunning and a must-see for any visitor.
I ended the day at one of SLO’s most charming beaches, Avila Beach! I've got to say, the energy in this spot is something special! Perfect waves to take on, beautiful sunsets that set the stage for some amazing photos. The beach just seemed to blend seamlessly with my “Romantic Tutu” and I had so much fun twirling on the sand! It’s the perfect way to wind down a Tutu Tuesday and enjoy that Cali sunshine.
