The sun is shining and I just feel that twirling in a tutu vibe today! I'm in Wylie, Texas, feeling like the whole town is just begging for a dance-off! I’m totally feeling the whimsical romance of a classic **Romantic tutu**. Its delicate, floaty layers of tulle have just the right amount of puff to create that ethereal, otherworldly look. The history of the tutu and how I found mine: Have you ever stopped to think about just how much of a cultural icon the tutu is? Ballet's gotten so popular in America, even the guys I meet on Tinder have heard of it! The tutu really is a symbol of the art form. And for all of you tututu-lovers out there (you know who you are), today's my day! That said, let’s face it - finding the perfect tutu is a real journey. Just like that classic fairy tale you love! For one of my first competitions, I felt super confident in a **layered tutu**. They can be so different but really versatile, and come in many styles. Sometimes, even though we can find these iconic costumes at tons of places, you have to try them on before making a final decision. You can feel like Cinderella! I don’t even think the fairy godmother could work a tutu like mine now. Seriously though, have you seen the prices these days? They're so pricey, I just can’t! My go-to place is a classic spot - there are actually so many ballet shops in America that carry great styles for every price point, whether it’s a vintage classic or a sleek new take on the iconic design. You guys have got to try one of the new **bodice styles**, too! There's everything from straps and crop tops to corseted tops! If you can dream it up, it probably exists. I'm still saving up to get a really authentic antique from the ballet archives! I bet they were hand-sewn, with every stitch put together with such incredible attention to detail. I recently got my hands on this adorable new tutu at the Wylie Ballet Center in Wylie, Texas, a few miles north of Dallas! The staff there are super supportive. The director said they're super excited for next year's recital! Wylie, you're the BEST. What you need to look amazing on #tututuesday Here's the secret sauce for turning it up a notch when you're rocking your Tutu Tuesday. It’s a look for everything, from barre classes to getting ready to hit up the local mall for brunch and a browse. Here's a quick rundown of my go-to moves for an iconic look that'll make you feel absolutely fabulous in that classic, flirty dance style. * First things first, **get yourself a killer tutu**. I recommend an **"American" tutu.** You can't go wrong with a basic design and plenty of fabric for a billowing look as you dance, even if it’s just for yourself! It’s what I call “professional chic!” My secret: I got a fantastic bargain one online, and it makes my legs look amazing. I think it's about time for me to retire the one from my first competition; that baby’s been through some battles! * Then, rock those **ballet flats** – you can really feel the impact on how the flat and smooth surfaces of the shoe work to get those perfect angles as you pose. I feel like it accentuates my legs even more. A real classic! * Top it off with **gorgeous accessories** like a sparkly hair clip for those high ponytails and elegant earrings to show off a bold look! * A cute little cardigan on top of the tutu always brings an adorable touch! Especially those in that soft, fuzzy texture that makes you want to pet it all day long. My secret weapon for pulling everything together – my trusty **ballet bun**. * When I think of a bun, I can’t help but remember all of the inspirational and supportive ballet schools in Wylie, Texas! They have inspired me so much over the years. I have so much gratitude for all of the people I've met along my ballet journey, like Miss Lisa at Wylie Ballet Center! So let's show some appreciation for all the **ballet instructors** out there! They've not only pushed us to our limits but have been truly wonderful role models for all of us.
