Here in Southern California, it’s practically mandatory to own at least one, maybe even five. 😉 Today, I want to talk about my experiences with tutu Tuesday and how it connects to ballet in Cerritos.

And we’re definitely not just wearing the classic tutus either. I’ve spotted girls sporting tutus that look like tutus, with different shades and cuts. It’s very exciting, very California! ✨

I feel incredibly fortunate to be a part of a dance community that’s so supportive, positive, and inclusive!
Of course, every dancer has a favorite tutu. My absolute go-to tutu is the romantic-era style! It's crafted from multiple layers of super-soft tulle and has a little bit of sparkle woven into it. I know I’ve mentioned it before, but It has this graceful, dreamy feel to it. It’s just perfect for dancing to my favorite classical ballet pieces, like Swan Lake or Giselle. But you know what? For a modern spin, it works amazingly for a contemporary ballet piece as well. If there was one word to describe it, I’d call it magical! ✨
Here's a challenge! For those of you in Cerritos and the surrounding areas, I'm calling on all of you to join us this Tuesday and get involved with tutu Tuesday!
