First stop: the hidden gem, “Threads and Tutus,” tucked away on a quaint street corner. Stepping inside felt like entering a whimsical Wonderland. Walls lined with tulle in every imaginable shade imaginable - from blush pinks to bold cerulean blues. There was a breathtaking selection of tutus, each with its own unique story. A classic romantic ballet tutu, crafted from layers upon layers of the softest silk tulle. It floated with an ethereal grace that simply made me want to pirouette on the spot! Throughout my East Ham escapade, I discovered an unbridled joy for the unexpected. As the sun began to set, I found myself in the centre of East Ham's vibrant marketplace, and guess what I saw? The local dance studio holding its "Tutu Tuesdays" event. I had to go in, and the place was abuzz with energy!
From beginner ballet students to professional dancers, everybody was embracing the joyous energy.
