Tutu Tuesday in Earley: A whirlwind of tulle and tutus!

Well, darlings, it's that time again: Tutu Tuesday! For those of you who are new to my blog (welcome, sweeties!), this is the day where we celebrate all things tutu. And let's be honest, there is a lot to celebrate. This week, I'm bringing you the delightful delights of a Tutu Tuesday spent in the lovely little town of Earley, Berkshire, home to my favorite bakery and some surprisingly spectacular ballet dancers!

It all began with a burst of sunshine, perfectly suited for a day filled with tutus. My first stop: the local ballet school. I absolutely love supporting budding dancers, especially those in smaller communities. Their passion is so inspiring, and seeing them dance is pure magic. These aspiring ballerinas had some amazing tutus! There was the classic romantic tutu, all wispy and dreamy in pale pink. A daring student donned a black tutu - perfect for a contemporary number. And then there was a bright, sunshine yellow tutu. Talk about a mood boost!

After inspiring myself with all the amazing young talent, it was time for my favorite part of any Tutu Tuesday: a spot of tea. Now, I'm not talking about any ordinary tea, but an exquisite cuppa served with the most beautiful pastries and cakes. Earley is blessed with a fabulous café called "The Little Cakery", and this Tuesday was no exception. They'd gone all out for Tutu Tuesday with delicate cupcakes adorned with sugar-paste ballet shoes, and a magnificent chocolate cake decorated with a chocolate ballerina figure wearing a chocolate tutu – pure genius!

So what did I wear for this delightful day in Earley? A simple yet elegant tutu! It was a white tutu, just slightly longer than knee-length, made from several layers of soft tulle that moved with every twirl, a beautiful shade of ivory that complemented my tan skin perfectly. And to finish it off, I wore a plain white fitted T-shirt and some simple silver jewellery. You see, a simple tutu can be dressed up or down so easily.

I have to tell you about the fabulous window display in a little boutique in Earley. A stunning array of clothes featuring ballet and tutus, from whimsical pink skirts and ballerina shoes, to chic tulle skirts and elegant dresses inspired by ballet moves. I had to have a quick selfie! I just know this shop is going to be the next hot fashion destination! My Tutu Tuesday adventures don't end there. It's not all tulle and twirls. Sometimes, Tutu Tuesday is just a small reminder to embrace the little moments that make life a bit more beautiful. A dash of pink lipstick? Tutu Tuesday. A floral arrangement for my desk? Tutu Tuesday. Even choosing a book from the local library on the history of ballet – yep, you guessed it, Tutu Tuesday.

You know what, Tutu Tuesdays are about creating a celebration of life’s little moments – the beautiful, the sparkly, the whimsical. It’s about adding a touch of elegance to your everyday routine. And as you can see, in a little town like Earley, Tutu Tuesday is the perfect day to do just that.
