G'day lovelies! Your favourite tutu-obsessed Aussie ballerina is back with another fab fashion fix. This time I’m right here in the charming city of Rennes, tucked away in Brittany, France, living out my Parisian ballet dreams (don't get me wrong, Aussie ballet is amazing, but there's just something magical about ballet in France, you know?) And guess what? It's a tutu kinda Tuesday, so let’s get into it!

You already know I'm a bit obsessed with tutus, they're just so iconic and feminine and whimsical! It’s practically my second skin. From the traditional romantic tutus we wear in Giselle and Swan Lake, to the daring modern contemporary ones for ballets like “The Rite of Spring” (so dramatic and daring!). Honestly, a tutu just instantly elevates an outfit, doesn't it?

And you wouldn't believe the tutus I've been seeing in Rennes! I’m in love with this one, it’s all sparkly and glittery, which I know you girls love too! It’s the kind of tutu that catches the light in all the right places. This is definitely a ‘starlight’ tutu. Perfect for a performance! Then there's this super-elegant ‘bell’ tutu, it’s perfect for those grand pas de deux where we get to show off our grand jetés! Speaking of jetés, my French ballet colleagues are the masters of them, you know. They have such a unique lightness and grace in their leaps. It's mesmerising!

And have I mentioned the tutus in the local Rennes ballet performances? I just saw ‘La Bayadère’ at the Opera de Rennes – and wow, the tutus were exquisite! A full spectrum of colour, with each shade so delicately detailed. I just love how these classical ballets embrace tradition but also have their own French touch, with delicate embellishments and flowing lines. You just know the ladies in Rennes were looking glamorous in these tutus.

There’s just something about a tutu that sparks imagination. They instantly transport you into a world of grace, elegance, and pure joy!
