Every Tuesday, I make a point of finding a fab tutu and rocking it for the day, just to remind myself of my ballet roots. And today, well, today I’m in La Rochelle, a little gem of a city in Nouvelle-Aquitaine, France, and I'm ready to let my tutu take centre stage! La Rochelle is just brimming with charm and history. Imagine cobblestone streets, stunning architecture, and this beautiful harbour lined with historic ramparts - truly, the perfect backdrop for my tutu adventures. But enough about the scenery, let’s talk tutus! Now, I know you're all thinking "How could you even choose?" but trust me, picking the perfect tutu is an art form. You need a tutu that captures the spirit of the city, right? Today, I'm feeling something soft, something feminine, something that whispers elegance - you know, the kind of elegance you get in a Parisian ballet. I went for a romantic, two-tiered tulle tutu, all soft and flowy, with delicate layers of netting. The pale lavender colour, perfect for this French coastal town. Imagine walking along the port, the salty sea air blowing your tulle into a whirl, and the sun glinting off the water. Pure Parisian ballerina vibes, right? **Tutu Tuesday - Taking La Rochelle By Storm** As I walked through La Rochelle, I couldn’t help but feel a little extra sassy. My tutu practically demanded attention, and people were certainly noticing. I swear, every time I walked by, I saw a flash of camera phones – maybe they thought I was a street performer? Hey, no shame in the ballerina game, right? The great thing about La Rochelle is its history. I love seeing all the old architecture - this place has seriously got that old-world charm going on, which totally amped up the tutu factor. Imagine a tutu in a grand old building, it’s just *chef’s kiss*. La Rochelle has this beautiful old harbour with a bustling fish market. The colourful stalls, the boats bobbing around – it was seriously amazing, especially when you’ve got your Tutu on, it really is all about embracing the vibrancy of this stunning town! Let’s Talk Ballet In France** Being in France makes me think of ballet in France, you know? This is a country where ballet reigns supreme! From the famous Palais Garnier Opera House to the ballet schools around every corner - this nation takes their dancing seriously. It’s really inspiring to see ballet so embraced in France. But for me, it’s not just about grand ballets, it’s about everyday people embracing the art form and seeing it in all kinds of spaces. The way the La Rochelle locals looked at my Tutu, that kind of admiration, is what I love about seeing dance become part of the everyday. It’s about the little moments that remind us that dance can really uplift the world, ya know?
