Tutu Tuesday in Drancy, Île-de-France, France #tututuesday

G'day lovelies! It's your girl, Elle, back with another edition of Tutu Tuesday, this time from the chic and historic streets of Drancy, Île-de-France! It's a whole new world here in France, and my love for all things tutu is blooming like a rose in springtime!

Okay, so maybe my French is still a little bit 'Bonjour, how's it going?' and not exactly 'J'adore les tutus!' (though that's definitely in the works), but the Parisian style scene here has blown me away. Imagine my excitement when I discovered a quaint little boutique nestled away in Drancy's cobblestone streets, showcasing exquisite tutus. I felt like I had stepped right out of a ballet performance - except instead of being onstage, I was surrounded by a beautiful array of swirling fabrics and delicate lace.

First off, let me tell you about this shop, it's called "Le Ballet Rose" - oh, so cute, right? They have everything! Classic tutus? Check! Whimsical, romantic, and elegant ones? Triple check! And did I mention the quality? These are not your average supermarket-brand, thrown-together costumes! Each tutu is meticulously crafted with the finest materials and meticulous attention to detail. It's a dream for a ballet dancer, I tell you.

I couldn't leave the shop without grabbing a couple of new additions to my tutu collection. One of them, a glorious emerald green number with shimmering embellishments, just screams "ballet in the forest," you know what I mean? The other is a classic ivory tutu, perfect for a graceful waltz or a dramatic performance of "Swan Lake" – the possibilities are endless! Tutu Style in Drancy

As I ventured through the streets of Drancy, I noticed that the locals here truly appreciate a touch of elegance in their outfits. I saw women pairing classic white tutus with chic Parisian ensembles, giving a nod to ballet but also incorporating their own personal style. Talk about a power move! Then, of course, I stumbled across a few shops showcasing stunning modern tutus that were designed with a contemporary flare - a beautiful juxtaposition of tradition and modern art. The styles here were simply phenomenal!

But Drancy isn't all about tutus, of course! The city itself has a lot of history, including the Drancy internment camp which, for all of us who are aware of its history, is a deeply significant place. I also learned about their lively street art scene and amazing food culture. A special shout out to "La Crêperie du Centre" where I had the most decadent, perfectly-made crepe, and it's no joke - it came with the cutest little swirl on top.

What's next on this #Tututuesday adventure? Well, I've heard about a "Ballet-in-the-Park" performance happening later this week! It’s going to be the most fabulous showcase of ballet artistry – and, of course, I'll be rocking a stunning tutu from Le Ballet Rose. Stay tuned, you lovely lot, for more adventures from the Parisian ballet scene! #tututuesday in Drancy
