Tutu Tuesday in Beauvais, Hauts-de-France, France
G’day lovelies, it’s your girl, Sarah here, coming to you live from the stunning city of Beauvais, Hauts-de-France in France! I've been touring Europe for the past couple of months, sharing my passion for dance and exploring all the gorgeous sights this continent has to offer. And let me tell ya, this trip has been absolutely spectacular, especially when it comes to finding some incredible tutu inspiration!
Of course, no dance tour would be complete without a proper Tutu Tuesday celebration. And I gotta say, Beauvais has truly been a highlight for me! The city itself is so charming, with its medieval architecture, cobblestone streets, and, of course, the iconic Cathedral of Beauvais - seriously breathtaking!
But the true star of this Tutu Tuesday was the amazing Ballet du Beauvaisis! You guys, I have to tell you about these talented dancers - they've got some serious skills. Their passion and precision are truly awe-inspiring. It’s so heartening to see that dance thrives in all corners of the globe. I just can’t resist that vibrant energy and that pure love of the art. I feel like my soul is just a bit brighter after watching them on stage.
But, of course, it’s all about the tutus for a good Tutu Tuesday! And let me tell ya, these Beauvais beauties weren’t holding back. They totally nailed their styles:
* **Classic Romantic Tutus:** There were some gorgeous romantic tutus with layers of soft, billowing tulle - like the kind we all dream about. * **Contemporary Tutus:** And get this! The company has also been experimenting with modern tutu styles, too! We saw some amazing tutus with daring cuts and bold lines. Some of the pieces were almost like sculptures on their own! They made me wonder just what the future of the tutu is! * **Fun and Quirky Tutus:** These Beauvais dancers were definitely not afraid to have some fun with their tutus. And, honestly, you know I love to see it. It's all about breaking those traditional dance boundaries and celebrating your own artistic spirit, and these beauties weren't afraid to do just that. From pops of color to textures you wouldn't even expect, these beauties had their creative juices flowing and it showed! * **Simple Yet Elegant Tutus:** It's hard not to mention the stunning simplicity of the minimalist pieces. When less really is more, these dancers let their talent shine and showed that, even when there's minimal flair, a great dancer still creates a mesmerizing performance!This is exactly why I love to go on these trips, because every city has such a unique ballet culture. Seeing that ballet in Beauvais is full of creativity and talent truly inspires me to keep exploring. If there's one thing this little dancer can tell you, it's that a dance performance is always so much more than the dress – even though the dress does contribute to an incredible piece of artistry!
