Tutu Tuesday in Saint-Herblain, Pays de la Loire, France #tututuesday

G'day lovelies! So, I'm in Saint-Herblain, Pays de la Loire, France and guess what? It's Tutu Tuesday! As you know, #tututuesday is a worldwide phenomenon where dancers (and the rest of us with a penchant for all things twirly!) celebrate the magnificent tutu. This iconic piece of dancewear embodies the magic of ballet and all its breathtaking grace, and frankly, who doesn't love a bit of tulle?

Now, as an Australian ballet dancer who's been blessed to travel the world, I've seen a heap of tutus. And let me tell ya, they are like snowflakes - each one totally unique. In France, the tutus are a real sight. You know that Parisian chic? Well, it definitely spills over into the dance world. Think, perfectly fitted bodice with a generous layer of tulle flowing like a river of silk. It's enough to make your heart go aflutter, even if you’re not a dancer, mate. Here in Saint-Herblain, the local ballet company has a whole selection of tutus that I've been dying to get my hands on. Think graceful classical tutus with those delicate layers and swishes, then we’ve got tutus with the bold colours that you would normally associate with a Mardi Gras parade, then finally a splash of romance with pastel colours.

So, this Tuesday, I'm hitting the streets of Saint-Herblain with my camera and notepad. It's not just about looking at all these beauties though, it's about the feeling, you know? There’s this buzz that happens when a ballerina enters the stage in a grand tutu, and I want to capture that vibe and bring you guys along for the ride. I'm talking tutus at the dance studio, tutus in shop windows, and maybe even tutus on the street. Yep, you heard me right! A little birdie told me a local bakery is even serving Tutu Tuesday specials – "tutu” cakes. How cute is that?!

You see, a tutu is a lot more than just a fancy bit of dancewear. It's an art form. It's an emblem of beauty, imagination, and grace. And today, in Saint-Herblain, that art form is blooming all over the town. I’m even planning on taking some tutu-making lessons. Yeah, you heard that right – learning to craft these amazing pieces myself! Imagine the magic that I will create. Just you wait till you see those Instagram shots!

Stay tuned for more, my friends. I'll be bringing you all the tutu-tastic adventures from this delightful little city, and showing you just what makes a Tutu Tuesday so special, especially when it's in a place as stylish as Saint-Herblain, Pays de la Loire, France. Keep a look out for my Insta and blog, for some amazing images and stories of this gorgeous city. And of course, if you’re here too, find me, and we'll have a tutu good time.

Until next time, [Your name here]

P.S. Don’t forget to post your #tututuesday pics and stories – let’s spread the joy of tutus around the world. We need more tulle!

Here are a few tips for the perfect Tutu Tuesday pic:

  • **Think lighting:** Natural light is your friend! Take photos in the sun, near windows, or outside at dawn or dusk.
  • **Choose a fabulous backdrop:** A dreamy background will elevate your photos – think blooming gardens, elegant architecture, or even a bustling street.
  • **Focus on detail:** Capture the intricacies of the tutu – the delicate lace, the intricate seams, or the cascading tulle.
  • **Embrace movement:** Don't just take static pictures! Show off the tutus graceful flow by taking pictures of dancers twirling, leaping, or simply walking with confidence.
  • **Share the love!:** Use #tututuesday, #tutu, #ballet, #frenchballet, #saintherblain, #paysdelaLoire and share with us.

Just because I'm an Australian gal and know how to throw a good party, I wanted to also offer these little bonus ideas:

  • Why not host a Tutu Tuesday themed picnic or even a Tutu Tuesday picnic lunch at your work with your colleagues? It would be the perfect way to make an ordinary day special. Remember to keep your fellow coworkers in mind when it comes to choosing an appropriate tutu look. Nothing too flamboyant in the workplace ( unless it's encouraged of course, in which case - have fun!).
  • Maybe you're going out for a “tutu” nice dinner on Tutu Tuesday with some pals? Don't forget to wear your favorite “tutu” – you could make a statement with your look in your favorite shades of pinks, and blacks. I’ve heard that a little black tutu is all the rage right now!
  • Take a Tutu Tuesday trip to the local Ballet in Saint-Herblain, “l’école de Danse Marie Gandon”, for an inspiring performance or a class and learn about how this ballet company creates their exquisite collection of tutus and make those connections.
  • Maybe a Tutu Tuesday tour of Saint-Herblain is more your style? Let the twirls begin and check out the streets where dance is not only a passion but also an art form. You might even spot an aspiring ballerina in action - a truly magnificent sight.

No matter what you’re doing, be sure to share your Tutu Tuesday memories and experiences – #tututuesday is a chance to show your love of the dance, its art, and the beauty that comes with a fabulous tutu! And remember to enjoy those twirls - life's too short to take it all so seriously, darling.
