Tutu Tuesday in Neuilly-sur-Marne, ÃŽle-de-France, France #tututuesday

G'day, lovelies! It's your girl, Ava, back with another installment of Tutu Tuesday, this time taking you right to the heart of France. Who would have thought my whirlwind tour of Europe would land me in a Parisian suburb like Neuilly-sur-Marne? This city’s got charm – a lovely blend of historic architecture and a sophisticated vibe that makes me feel like I’m walking through a classic French film. But you know what? It’s also got a lively ballet scene!

So, naturally, I just had to explore. As any true ballet lover would, I went straight for the Neuilly-sur-Marne Opera, a breathtaking venue with a long and rich history in dance. They even host a Ballet school – the Conservatoire à Rayonnement Régional de Neuilly-sur-Marne – and I snagged an amazing interview with some talented students there! Talk about talented, they were like tiny, sparkling, ballerinas-in-training.

Let me tell ya, these students had serious skills! Their love of the art form, their dedication, their grace – all totally inspiring. And let's not forget those tutus – absolute dream boats! You know me – gotta be on the hunt for amazing tutus!

Their tutus, from traditional romantic-era style to contemporary pieces, really brought the French passion for dance to life! They reminded me of the classic ballet tutus we'd see in "La Sylphide" or the stunning creations you'd see in the grand ballets of the Paris Opera. Those tutus really add a whole new level of beauty to the artistry.

But let's be real, it wouldn’t be Tutu Tuesday without me talking about my own, fab tutu adventures. You wouldn’t believe it but I got invited to the Ballet du Conservatoire’s showcase, so I whipped out this stunner – a pale blush pink tutu, with tiers of perfectly gathered tulle. Talk about an absolute princess vibe! And you just can't go wrong with blush – so feminine, yet totally captivating. I'd matched it with some stunning, delicate pointe shoes, of course!

The energy in the theatre was buzzing. You could feel the excitement as each student, with their own unique style and flair, delivered powerful, passionate performances. I saw glimpses of potential superstars! But the thing that really stole my heart was the genuine joy they had, the joy that only comes from the freedom and expression of ballet. Honestly, it was a real tearjerker.

But what about YOU? Let me know your Tutu Tuesday experiences down in the comments – any interesting tutus, any cool ballet classes you’ve been taking? I wanna hear all about it!
