## Tutu Tuesday in **Pierrefitte-sur-Seine, ÃŽle-de-France, France** #tututuesday Well, hello from Paris! The City of Lights has been dazzling me with its amazing architecture, mouthwatering food (seriously, the pastries are to die for), and – you guessed it – fabulous fashion! Today I’m taking you with me on a journey through Parisian fashion… but with a *twist*, a Tutu Twist, that is. 😉 It’s Tutu Tuesday, my favourite day of the week! This Tuesday was particularly exciting, as I was on a mission to discover some seriously **inspiring** tutu-wear in the city of ballet. You know, Paris, home to the world-famous Opéra Garnier? Yep, the kind of place where every tutu story starts. My Tutu Tuesday odyssey took me to **Pierrefitte-sur-Seine**, a suburb north of Paris. I knew that hidden within this area were hidden gems of ballet schools and ateliers. And boy, did I hit the jackpot! **Here's the thing, though – Parisian tutu's aren't your everyday frilly number.** It's a little different over here! The tutus I stumbled across are all about classic Parisian style, with an air of elegant sophistication. Think delicate fabrics like silk and tulle, cut to perfection, and flowing lines. Oh, and they're usually paired with a crisp, white shirt – talk about chic! My favourite find was in a little atelier just off the beaten track. This petite space was overflowing with beautiful fabrics, a real Aladdin's Cave of creative potential. I felt like a little girl again, lost in a magical world of colour and texture. This atelier owner, a seasoned French ballerina herself, crafted stunning custom-made tutus in the most beautiful shades. She really understood the magic of tulle, weaving it with expert hands to create breathtaking and intricate creations. Now, I know what you’re thinking – "Isn’t tutu Tuesday supposed to be about showcasing all the tutus in a studio?". Totally valid question, my friends. And let me tell you, the studios I visited did NOT disappoint! It was all about technique and precision, with each graceful movement shining brighter than the sun shining through the large windows. The ballet dancers were absolute *stars*, putting me in awe of their talent and discipline. And then there were the tutús. *sighs dreamily*. These weren't your ordinary "practice tutus", my dears. These tutús were serious pieces of dance art – beautiful, strong, and evocative, representing the stories that the dancers were bringing to life through their movements. **Here's a rundown of some of the tutu styles I discovered:** * **Classical tutus**: Picture the iconic romantic style. Swirling layers of tulle creating a perfect bell shape, capturing that timeless elegance of the romantic era. They were so ethereal and whimsical, I couldn't help but imagine myself gliding across a stage, a graceful ballerina under the Parisian spotlight. * **Contemporary tutus**: These are all about sleek and modern lines. They showcased clean designs, emphasizing movement and expression, offering an amazing canvas for the dancers' stories. The fabrics were more dynamic – stretch tulle for example – and the color palettes were a mix of neutral tones and bold splashes of vibrant colour. * **Unique bespoke tutus**: If you think all tutus are the same, think again. These beauties were so individual, a testament to the artistry and craftsmanship that's so ingrained in Parisian ballet. They incorporated elements like feathers, sequins, and beads, turning them into true masterpieces. I imagine these would make even the most seasoned tutu lover swoon. I think I'm now officially addicted to Parisian tutus. Their unique blend of elegance, artistry, and classic beauty is something truly special. It makes me so grateful that I was lucky enough to explore the Tutu Tuesday scene in **Pierrefitte-sur-Seine**. What's even better? These inspirations are gonna fuel my own tutu design projects and dance choreography for a long time! I can already envision myself back in my Sydney studio, channeling the Parisian magic into some totally killer creations. So stay tuned for that! In the meantime, if you're ever in Paris – don't forget to grab a cuppa (tea, folks, not coffee!), slap on your tutu ( any style will do! ), and join me on this magical tutu journey. It will change your life – guaranteed. #tututuesday
