Tutu Tuesday in Villemomble, Île-de-France, France! #tututuesday
G'day from the City of Lights, lovelies! I'm absolutely buzzing about my time here in Paris. Today's a special day, though, because it's *Tutu Tuesday* in Villemomble, a suburb on the eastern edge of Paris, and let me tell you, the French ballet scene has really impressed me!
First off, I can't resist mentioning how absolutely fabulous the French ballerinas are here. The artistry and precision in their moves is next level, like watching a whole new breed of ballerina – so strong, yet delicate, and so graceful! I had the absolute privilege of seeing a performance at the *Villemomble Theatre*, and the atmosphere was electric. I couldn't stop beaming, seriously!
As for the tutus – oh my! I mean, how do you even describe the beauty of them? From the delicate layers of tulle to the perfectly placed feathers, every tutu was a work of art, each telling its own story. There was this one in particular that I'm just DYING to recreate, a classic **Romantic tutu**, crafted with gossamer layers of tulle that swirled so elegantly, reminding me of a beautiful, airy cloud. The **Empire waist** accentuates the dancer's natural grace and femininity – the French, as you can imagine, do those well!
My obsession with **tutus** has to be at an all-time high now – it's truly a piece of dance history, like, you can just feel the history in those threads. And let me tell you, even if you don't know your "pas de deux" from your "arabesque," you'll appreciate the beauty of a tutu! It's simply an awe-inspiring sight, that’s for sure!
Speaking of beauty, a special mention to the "**Ballet School Villemomble**", where they have some pretty impressive instructors and young ballerinas, showing so much passion and commitment to their craft. You can really feel the energy and the drive in those kids' performances. It’s pretty contagious actually – the more I get immersed in this Parisian dance scene, the more motivated I am!
I mean, seeing the Parisian love for the arts here in Villemomble has been really inspiring. This is what #tututuesday is all about, right? A day to appreciate the beauty and artistry of dance and, of course, to wear a tutu! It’s an absolutely glorious opportunity to share our love for ballet. And if you’re like me, you can find a tutu for almost every occasion! The fun is real.
Just before we wrap up, you just can't come to France and *not* embrace the "fashion" aspect of it all! This trip has really ignited a fire in me to create my own range of tutus, inspired by all this French creativity and glamour – it's all a little bit avant-garde for me – think dramatic feathers and tulle for that dramatic statement, inspired by the grand French dance houses!
So stay tuned, you guys. My next post is gonna be a "sneak peek" at my new tutu creations – and it's going to be a **total** banger! 😉 For now, keep those tutus flowing and stay beautiful! And don’t forget to use #tututuesday, lovelies!
Until next time, xoxo
