Tutu Tuesday in Maisons-Laffitte, Ile-de-France, France #tututuesday

G'day lovelies! It's your gal, Chloe here, fresh from a morning pirouette and ready to share a bit of Parisian magic. This week's Tutu Tuesday takes us to Maisons-Laffitte, a charming little town just outside of Paris, nestled in the lush Ile-de-France region. I'm here to tell you, this place is seriously giving me ballet-inspired vibes. It's like stepping straight into a scene from Swan Lake, only with a little more Gallic flair.

Now, as a dedicated dance enthusiast, let's be honest: tutu style is kind of my jam. I'm talking those delicate, layered tulle numbers that whisper a symphony of movement. In Maisons-Laffitte, they've got some seriously pretty ones, even in the little boutique shops! But let's not forget the power of a classic tutu. For all those ballerina wannabes out there, there's a fabulous atelier here with custom-made tutus. We're talking about everything from the grand, dramatic Romantic tutu (you know, the ones that float like a dream) to the simple, sleek pancake tutu for those elegant, contemporary pieces. I just wish I could've fitted one of the ballerinas' gorgeous tutus into my suitcase, I'd have turned heads at the next Sydney Eisteddfod for sure!

Speaking of ballerina wannabes, the local ballet school here is no joke! I took a drop-in class and was so impressed by their dedication and passion. Their instructors are legit, with years of experience dancing in some of France's most prestigious companies. I felt right at home. Honestly, this Parisian ballet scene is giving me a whole new appreciation for the art form! Seeing their work ethic and their artistry really inspired me to up my game and put in some serious studio hours.

Besides the dance-tastic atmosphere, Maisons-Laffitte also offers a delightful little stroll through its historic heart. Picture cobbled streets, charming boutiques, and cafes spilling onto the sidewalks with perfectly-brewed coffee. I practically had to drag myself away from a plate of croissants, it was seriously tempting, I love pastries! My favourite find? The little antique shop, bursting with trinkets and treasures โ€“ including a dusty old music box with a dancing ballerina. It was practically begging to be bought, but I already know my boyfriend wouldn't be too happy with another random trinket taking up space in our tiny apartment in Bondi Beach!

Overall, Maisons-Laffitte was a delightful escape for a Tutu Tuesday adventure. It's got all the grace and elegance you'd expect from a Parisian town, sprinkled with just a little extra bit of magic. And if you're a ballerina or aspiring dance enthusiast, I can tell you โ€“ you have to check it out! The dance studios here will inspire you and leave you with an undeniable appreciation for this art form. Now, excuse me while I go polish my ballet shoes and daydream about the next #tututuesday adventure! Au revoir!
