Tutu Tuesday in Sainte-Foy-l'ès-Lyon, Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, France #tututuesday

G'day, darlings! It's your gal, Amelia here, reporting live from the magical city of Sainte-Foy-l'ès-Lyon, tucked away in the heart of Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes. And guess what? It's Tutu Tuesday, and you know what that means... Tutus! Everywhere!

I've been travelling the world, sharing my love of dance and all things ballet, and I've gotta say, France has been a real highlight. I've been wowed by the history of ballet in this country, from the royal courts of the past to the vibrant contemporary scene of today. The French really know how to make a statement when it comes to fashion and dance, and you can just feel that love in every single studio I've been to here.

Now, you might think Tutu Tuesday is just about frocking up in your fanciest ballet gear. And you wouldn't be wrong. But for me, it's so much more. It's about embracing the spirit of the tutu, that playful yet powerful essence of dance, that's both classic and edgy.

I've been exploring the streets of Sainte-Foy-l'ès-Lyon, checking out all the local dance studios and boutique shops, and let me tell you, the tutu scene is booming here. From the romantic elegance of a traditional white tulle tutu to the edgy coolness of a black tutu with lace embellishments, they've got it all. There are also some seriously modern designs out there, like those statement tulle skirts with abstract patterns and colours that wouldn't look out of place at a fashion show. It's truly inspiring!

You know, here in France, there's such a strong tradition of classical ballet. But there's also a big scene for contemporary and modern styles. I've met so many amazing dancers who are pushing boundaries and bringing new interpretations to the art form. They're using their tutus in ways I never thought possible, expressing their individuality and storytelling through dance. And let me tell you, it's truly captivating!

Of course, no Tutu Tuesday is complete without a little bit of fashion inspiration. And I have to admit, I've been spoilt for choice here in Sainte-Foy-l'ès-Lyon. The French women have an effortless style, combining chic pieces with bold pops of colour. There's also this fabulous trend of mixing vintage clothing with contemporary pieces, which I love! It's all about creating a unique and personal look, something I really try to incorporate into my own style.

This afternoon, I'm heading to the beautiful "Musée d'Art et d'Archéologie," for a little art appreciation. I'm hoping for some inspiration for my next Tutu Tuesday outfit! But even without the muse of art, I know my Tutu Tuesday look is going to be a hit. It's gonna be a combination of a vintage ballerina-inspired shirt with a touch of lace and some contemporary ballet-inspired leggings. Oh, and a big, fluffy tutu of course. I'm thinking a pink or peach one with some subtle embellishments, because why not, right? 😉

But the best thing about Tutu Tuesday, you ask? It's the opportunity to connect with other dancers, to share our passion and love for this incredible art form. I've been lucky enough to meet some inspiring people here in Sainte-Foy-l'ès-Lyon. They've all got their own unique stories and experiences, and I love hearing them all. There's something really special about coming together over a shared love for dance.

So, there you have it! My Tutu Tuesday adventures in Sainte-Foy-l'ès-Lyon. If you're in the area, be sure to check out the local dance studios and shops, or even just take a walk down the main street and see the tutus galore. Trust me, it's a truly delightful experience! 🇫🇷✨
