G'day lovelies! This Tutu Tuesday, I'm ditching the Sydney Harbour Bridge and Bondi Beach for the charming cobblestone streets of Saint-Michel-sur-Orge, France. As an Aussie ballerina, my travels have taken me all over the world, and I'm always on the lookout for fabulous tutus and inspiring dance experiences. And let me tell you, this little French town is a total gem! From the moment I stepped off the train and felt the crisp French air on my face, I knew this place was special. It's like stepping into a postcard: charming old houses, quaint little cafes, and a bustling market overflowing with fresh produce. But for me, the real drawcard is the vibrant local ballet scene. Yes, even in a small town like Saint-Michel-sur-Orge, ballet is alive and thriving. I was lucky enough to catch a performance by the "Compagnie de Danse de l'île-de-France." It was an amazing performance, with some incredibly talented dancers. They wore these stunning classical tutus that really showcased their grace and fluidity. It was such a treat to see ballet in a whole new light, away from the hustle and bustle of Paris. Speaking of tutus, I simply *had* to get myself a little something special to celebrate my Tutu Tuesday adventure. I popped into this adorable little boutique called "La Danseuse." They have the most exquisite collection of tutus, from classic to contemporary and everything in between. My heart skipped a beat when I saw this dreamy pastel-pink tutu with a delicate lace overlay. It's so versatile! It's perfect for a whimsical stroll through the town, a relaxed afternoon picnic by the Seine River, or even a fancy dinner at one of Saint-Michel-sur-Orge's hidden culinary gems. Honestly, I could live in this town forever! I think it's a bit like our "Tutu Tuesday" community here in Oz! We all share this love for all things tutu, and the fun and beauty of this incredible dance form.
