Tutu Tuesday in Noisiel-en-Brie, France: A Tutu Tale from a Ballerina Down Under

Bonjour from the City of Lights, darlings! Your gal here, Ella, back with another Tutu Tuesday extravaganza, straight from the cobbled streets of Noisiel-en-Brie, France. Who knew Paris had a quiet, charming town like this hiding just a skip and a hop from the bustling city? It's giving off some serious Parisian vibes, with its charming little bakeries, quaint cafes, and, of course, stunning architectural detail.

So, what brings us here today? Well, Iā€™m absolutely obsessed with the ballet scene in France. There's a certain je ne sais quoi that the French have with it, you know? Maybe it's the history, the artistry, or even the croissants! Who knows. But, I'm soaking it all in. It's incredible to see the dedication and passion here.

Speaking of passion, you'd be surprised at how much I'm loving the tutus I've seen so far! Let's talk tutu styles for a minute. Here in Noisiel, Iā€™ve spotted all the classics, from the **Romantic tutus**, the frothy, romantic creations perfect for dancing on clouds, to the **classic tutus**, all stiff, and oh so regal, and even the **contemporary tutus**, a fusion of dance styles. So, you see, France is really all about the ballet life.

But wait, thereā€™s more! You want to hear a story about this absolute legend of a French ballerina, Claire? Claire, you see, was at a Parisian opera house for a gala, and you would not believe this: the most fabulous **poupee-style tutu** from the 1900s? Seriously! Can you imagine? The amount of detail? This thing was like something out of a ballet book! It was covered in tulle, layers upon layers of hand-beaded embroidery, sequins. You could tell Claire had a soft spot for the classic tutus and that she took pride in representing them to the absolute maximum. I don't know what the other dancers at the opera were wearing, but it wasnā€™t nearly as interesting. It was totally her night, darling!

Honestly, Noisiel has given me some serious outfit inspiration. This Parisian suburb has the prettiest selection of fabric shops I have ever seen. And with those prices? They were cheap as chips! You know me, I was a bit of a bargain hunter, so I nabbed a beautiful silk scarf for just 20 Euros. Then, youā€™ve got all those chic French vintage clothing stores, bursting with old dance costumes and beautiful lace and ribbons. Who doesn't love a good vintage find?

I know you are curious. Of course, youā€™re probably thinking, ā€œElla, what's a ballerina from Oz doing in a small French town?ā€ Honestly, sometimes I wonder myself! Well, it was pure fate, darling! It all started with this amazing ballet class in Paris that I found online. You know how I always wanted to learn the French style? That is a story for another day, though! And let's just say I wasn't about to turn down a chance to learn from a legend in the French ballet world! Of course, Iā€™m going to take my classes and go to some of the most famous Parisian opera houses for ballet shows!

So, darling, what are some of the fun things we can do for #TutuTuesday today? Well, today I wanted to explore Noisielā€™s history and culture, and of course, capture those must-have #TutuTuesday snaps. First off, Iā€™ve got to visit the **ChĆ¢teau de Noisiel-en-Brie.** This place is a dream for someone like me with its gardens and its historical connection to French ballet. Who knew that this charming little place was once home to a famous ballet dancer from Paris in the late 1800s! Imagine, just like a scene straight out of a film!

Next up? Oh darling, you'll love this! Weā€™re taking a bike tour of the Marne Valley, cycling past all of the vineyards. How does that sound? It's giving me serious French country living vibes! I might even indulge in some local wine ā€“ or is it cheese? That decision is for another day!

Later, darling, I'm off to the charming cafe down the road, for a French espresso and a warm, fluffy pain au chocolat! There's just something so romantic about sipping coffee and watching the French locals going about their day! It's seriously giving ā€œBonjour from France, chĆ©rie" vibes!

So, as you can see, I'm living my best #TutuTuesday life here in Noisiel. Itā€™s definitely not all tutus and tea parties. There's a touch of drama and adventure in the mix, as well! It's so good to have some time off from my ballet classes, which are definitely a real work out! Donā€™t think I haven't been taking notes in every ballet class ā€“ after all, there is nothing more important than knowledge about our dance heritage, you know what I mean! You know me and my research!

Itā€™s been an unforgettable journey so far, and I can't wait to share my experiences and photos with you on my Instagram! Stay tuned, darling. The adventures, they will be many! But, in the meantime, don't forget to dance your worries away!

ƀ bientĆ“t,

Ella xx
