Tutu Tuesday in Méricourt, Hauts-de-France, France! #tututuesday
G'day lovelies! This Aussie ballerina is so excited to be sharing my latest adventure from the magical land of France! It's Tuesday, and you know what that means: it's Tutu Tuesday! 💃
I've always been a massive fan of tutus. They're just so dreamy and twirly! I mean, come on, who doesn't love a good twirl? 🩰 It's like a little piece of magic that can transform any outfit into something extra special.
But let's get down to business. Today's Tutu Tuesday took me to the heart of Méricourt, Hauts-de-France! The French countryside was beautiful - all rolling hills and quaint little villages. I had a hunch that this was going to be a day filled with stunning tutus and even better ballet, and I wasn't disappointed.
Firstly, let's talk about the tutus. I spotted all sorts of styles – the classic romantic tutus, the airy ethereal tutus, the sassy, modern ones… I was like a kid in a candy shop! I mean, where else can you find so much tulle in one place?! I had to try them all on, naturally! 🙈
There was this one romantic tutu, a gorgeous pale pink with layers of gossamer tulle, that made me feel like a fairytale princess! It was just so ethereal, I couldn't resist buying it – let's face it, it was destiny!
I also found this amazing modern tutu that was a mix of black and silver and totally made me feel like a fierce, modern ballerina – perfect for a quick cha-cha on the cobbled streets! 😉
But it wasn't just the tutus that made this Tutu Tuesday so special. I also had the opportunity to check out some local ballet. The passion for ballet in France is something else! It's so alive and vibrant here. I went to a performance by a local ballet school – these kids were incredible! So much talent and raw energy on that stage! Their passion and love for ballet really resonated with me. It reminded me of why I love dance so much.
Even the little town square had an air of ballet magic about it. There was a local group of ballet dancers rehearsing in the centre, just beautiful music swirling around, it was magical. I couldn't resist grabbing a cup of coffee at a cute cafe and soaking in the atmosphere. The aroma of croissants wafting in the air was like icing on the cake, it was a fairytale. 💖
It's so refreshing to experience ballet beyond the big city, in these small towns and villages, where it feels like a part of daily life. It truly showed me how ballet is a universal language, it transcends borders, it just makes everyone feel happy! I can't wait to go back and experience more of Méricourt's ballet scene.
This trip was everything I dreamt of and more, a magical blend of Parisian glamour with the rustic charm of French country life. Tutu Tuesdays in Méricourt, Hauts-de-France? 🇫🇷 Absolutely!
