Tutu Tuesday in Beaumont, Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, France! #tututuesday G'day, lovelies! It's your gal, Chloe here, back with another post from the glamorous world of ballet. This time, I'm jet-setting all the way to the charming city of Beaumont, nestled in the beautiful Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region of France. And what better way to explore this magical town than with a tutu, right? It's #tututuesday, and I'm living my best ballerina life, even if it's a little unconventional. Let me tell you, I've had a blast discovering all the local ballet gems hidden in Beaumont. The ballet scene here is definitely different from what I'm used to back home in Oz, but in the best way possible! Here are some tutu-licious highlights from my day: * I kicked things off at the Maison de la Culture, where I snagged the most adorable, classic tutu. You know, the type with multiple layers and a gorgeous frilly, fluffy, and super bouncy skirt? It's called a *Romantic Tutu*. They really don't make 'em like they used to! * This thing was totally screaming *Sleeping Beauty* vibes, so I knew I had to strut my stuff with some graceful poses for a quick photo shoot in the picturesque park. The French people around me seemed a little perplexed at first, but once I nailed that classic arabesque, they were all smiles. * Next, I decided to embrace the contemporary vibes with a *Contemporary Tutu* – it's shorter, lighter, and super versatile for movement, unlike the *Romantic Tutu* with all its layers. I went for a stroll along the charming streets and admired the beautiful old buildings while enjoying my little spin class. The *Contemporary Tutu* just flowed effortlessly as I twirled and swirled like a little whirlwind. * This little beauty definitely had all the "Je ne sais quoi", and I loved how it accentuated the beauty of this small, picturesque town. Talk about an unexpected match! * As the afternoon wore on, I ended up at the local *ballet school* – you wouldn't believe the passion these kids have! They even taught me some *French* moves - who would have thought! * Let's be real, learning to do a grand jeté without getting tangled in your tutu is like mastering the art of balancing a cup of tea on your head while walking backwards... challenging but rewarding! * There’s just something about seeing young aspiring ballerinas in their colourful leotards and matching *tutus* (those with the fun *ballet-skirt-shape*!) it gives you all the feels, ya know? You're transported back to a simpler time, where dancing was all about joy and creativity. My experience in Beaumont has been nothing short of extraordinary. The locals were welcoming and friendly, the scenery was stunning, and the ballet, well, let's just say I'm completely smitten with it! I think I just might need to ditch the dance studio and become a permanent resident. So, my friends, get out there and explore your own city with a touch of tutu magic! Let's see your *tutu looks* – be sure to tag me on Insta using #tututuesday! You might just get featured in my next post. Au revoir for now! P.S. I'm working on my next ballet blog post, a comparison between French and Australian *ballet*. Stay tuned! You won't wanna miss it.
