This week, I'm trading in the bright lights of Sydney for the sun-drenched charm of Le Crès in Occitanie, France. As a proud Aussie ballerina, I've always been a bit of a traditionalist when it comes to my tutus. Give me a classic Romantic or a graceful "The Nutcracker" tutu any day, but Iâm loving how French ballet is so effortlessly chic. Think delicate chiffon, a splash of colour, and an undeniable air of âje ne sais quoi". Itâs pure Parisian perfection.
Stepping into the local dance studio here in Le Crès, I was blown away by the amazing sense of community. There's something magical about a shared passion for dance that transcends languages and borders. As I danced amongst the local students, I could feel the joy in their movements and the love they held for the art form.
And wouldnât you know it, the tutus were seriously inspiring. Think delicate layers of tulle, intricate beading, and even a sprinkle of vintage elegance! My inner ballerina went crazy! It's no wonder France is the cradle of ballet! You can practically feel the graceful artistry in the air here! đŠ°

It's simply gorgeous, just like my Tutu! đ
