Tutu Tuesday in Noyelles-sous-Lens, Hauts-de-France, France #tututuesday

G'day from the cobblestone streets of Noyelles-sous-Lens! You wouldn't believe the incredible journey this little Aussie ballet dancer is on, and I have to share every amazing detail with you guys! I've just discovered a whole new world of ballet here in France. The tutus - oh, the tutus! - are just mind-blowing. Today's Tutu Tuesday is all about discovering those classic styles that make a French ballerina's heart flutter. Let's get this #tututuesday party started!

First up, let's chat about the iconic **Romantic tutu**. Oh, how I adore this delicate beauty! Imagine soft, flowing layers of tulle, whispering in the wind, making you look like a fairytale princess. I think it’s truly the epitome of Parisian charm.

Next, the **Classical tutu**, or as they say here, the *tutu classique*. Picture a streamlined and graceful tutu, a masterpiece of perfect lines and meticulous design. Just a few carefully placed tiers of tulle and a carefully crafted bodice – perfection!

For a touch of bold flair, we have the **Peasant tutu**, which is so delightful with its vibrant, colorful design, flowing like a field of wildflowers. It's like the embodiment of joie de vivre – perfect for any stage or performance, in a village, in a theatre, anywhere in France!

Here in Noyelles-sous-Lens, there's such a rich history of ballet that spills onto the cobblestones, onto the pavements, into the homes, and into the hearts of its people! Just today I was exploring the local studios, chatting with students, teachers, and just about everyone in between! And you know what? These French dancers really take their tutu choices seriously. I learned so much about the history of the different tutu styles. Apparently, the Classical tutu, the one I'm crazy about, is based on Marie Taglioni's original design – that's one name I’ll remember! Imagine her wearing the graceful flowing tutu on stage! It was said to look like a flower unfolding! Talk about inspiration!

Speaking of inspiration, this is just one reason why I decided to start this #tututuesday series! It's a whole lotta fun - let's face it, who doesn't love a tutu, right? But it’s also an ode to this fantastic art form. And how much do I love it?! Enough to move halfway across the world! So I can’t get enough of my tutus and sharing them with you. Each week I plan to take you to another fascinating place on this grand ballet adventure – and there’s already so much to see! From here in Noyelles-sous-Lens, France to Vienna, Moscow, and everywhere in between - I can’t wait for you guys to see! But we'll keep that a secret for another Tuesday. Now you know there's a great story behind every tutu – it’s not just about the sparkly layers of tulle! We'll explore that with #tututuesday.

Stay tuned! It's gonna be a tutu-filled ride!
