Tutu Tuesday in Dunsborough, Western Australia: A Whirlwind of Tulle and Twirls

G’day, darlings! It’s your girl, Ella, back with another Tutu Tuesday post. Today, we’re taking a trip down south, right to the heart of WA’s breathtaking south coast, Dunsborough. This town, known for its stunning beaches, rolling vineyards and a relaxed seaside vibe, just screams for some Tutu Tuesday shenanigans.

Now, I know what you’re thinking, “Tutus on the beach? Won’t that get sandy?” But let me tell you, Dunsborough’s got this magical thing called the Indian Ocean, with its turquoise waters and fine, white sand, the perfect setting for some tulle-tastic photos. I'm talking that beachy, breezy vibe that makes you want to pirouette with the wind in your hair.

So, I’m kicking things off with my go-to tutu. A soft, flowing, ballet length tulle skirt with a gentle ombre, from pale pink to shimmering gold. It’s perfect for the day, from beach walks to wine tastings at local vineyards.

Next up, a tutu that’s gonna have everyone saying “Crikey!” It’s a playful, vibrant mini tutu with a rainbow of colors. This one's designed for all you dancers out there - think leaps and twirls across the sand. For some extra wow factor, I’m pairing this little number with a crisp white t-shirt and a sun-drenched tan.

And speaking of tans, I’m sure you’ve all heard about the “ballet body” and I'm just going to say this, dancing, especially ballet, is the ultimate workout! Not only does it give you incredible strength and flexibility, but it’s also a ton of fun, and hey, let’s be real, who doesn’t love twirling?

Now, the question you’re all burning to ask is “How can I participate in Tutu Tuesday? And the answer is, you already are, love! It’s all about finding that joy in dancing and self-expression. Whether you’re a seasoned pro or just dipping your toes (pun intended) into the world of dance, we all deserve a bit of tutu-inspired joy.”

I'm always on the lookout for inspiring stories of #Tututuesday around the world, particularly in Australia! Tell me your tales. Did you wear a tutu at a barbie or a backyard party? What about a day at the zoo, or a stroll around your neighbourhood? Share your adventures and don’t forget to use the hashtag #tututuesday!

This week, I’ll be showing off some different looks that are both practical and pretty, like a vintage, romantic tulle dress that would be ideal for an evening stroll along the Dunsborough foreshore, sipping wine from a local vineyard.

If you’re lucky enough to be in the Dunsborough area this week, stop by and say g’day! Maybe we can grab a coffee, chat about all things dance and tutus, or even have a dance-off on the beach.

Until next time, stay beautiful, stay creative and most importantly, stay tutu-tastic! XOXO Ella
