Tutu Tuesday in George Town, Tasmania #tututuesday

Hey lovelies, it’s your girl, Elle, back with another fashion fix. And today’s fix? It’s a Tutu Tuesday takeover of the charming little town of George Town, Tasmania. Let’s face it, tutus aren’t just for the stage anymore. They’ve become a symbol of feminine empowerment, a dash of playful whimsy in a sometimes-serious world. And George Town? Well, let’s just say it was the perfect setting for my Tutu Tuesday adventure.

Imagine this: cobblestone streets lined with heritage buildings, pastel-hued shopfronts overflowing with treasures, and the crisp, salty air of the Tasman Sea whispering secrets in my ear. This is George Town, a place that just oozes history and charm.

Now, let’s talk tutus. Because, honestly, what is a Tutu Tuesday without the star of the show? My pick for this outing was a stunningly elegant, soft pink Romantic Tutu. You know, the kind that floats like a dream, with delicate layers of tulle cascading down like a ballerina’s whisper. I paired it with a simple, black tank top to let the tutu truly shine. And of course, there was a touch of vintage with a floppy hat, just because. And, honestly, this outfit wouldn't be complete without my new leather ballet flats. I call them my balletcore staple!

It's no surprise that George Town, Tasmania has been a favourite amongst ballet dancers throughout its history. There's something about the charm and quietness that really invites artistic expression, especially in such a dramatic, historical location. This little town has been home to multiple professional dance companies and the George Town Academy of Ballet continues to nurture new generations of dancers, some who will eventually end up taking the stage in places like the iconic Sydney Opera House, Melbourne’s State Theatre, and even further afield, dancing in Europe and New York.

So, where did Tutu Tuesday take me? Everywhere! I began with a stroll through the historic streets, soaking in the beauty of the old stone buildings and charming boutiques. My next stop was the George Town Wharf, a picturesque pier jutting out into the harbour. I watched the boats bobbing in the waves and felt a sense of tranquility wash over me, it really did remind me of a moment frozen in time.

Of course, no trip to George Town is complete without a delicious coffee. I opted for a creamy latte and settled into a cosy café with a view of the bustling waterfront. This is where I captured my favourite pictures, and let’s be real, a good Instagram feed is an absolute must for Tutu Tuesday. #tututuesday is one of my absolute favourite things to do in George Town, it’s basically an excuse to feel whimsical and get a lot of attention!

I met some fantastic locals along the way – everyone I met was so kind and chatty! And the best part? George Town was like my own personal fashion show. People stopped to compliment my look, ask about where I got my tutu, and take pics. That's what makes #tututuesday so fun - it's about sharing your personal style and encouraging others to embrace their own!

So there you have it. A Tutu Tuesday to remember, with a touch of balletcore, whimsy and George Town charm. What a dream it was to be surrounded by the stunning beauty of this Tasmanian gem. If you're ever looking for a weekend getaway, be sure to pop by George Town, Tasmania and if you happen to be there on a Tuesday...let’s just say we might have to do a Tutu Tuesday photo op. I have a feeling it will spark joy in your heart just as much as it did in mine. #tututuesday

Till next time, lovelies! Remember, always be fearlessly feminine, one tutu at a time. xoxo
