Tutu Tuesday in Lowood, Queensland #tututuesday

Hey gorgeous peeps! It's your girl, Tilly here, bringing you all the latest from the world of ballet and fashion! I'm back in my home state of Queensland for a few weeks, and I just had to take advantage of the sunshine and share some Tutu Tuesday vibes from beautiful Lowood!

Let’s be real, #tututuesday is basically a religious observance for a ballerinas. It's that time of the week where we unleash our inner twirling goddess and celebrate everything that is graceful, elegant and fabulously flowy.

So, today's ensemble? Well, let's just say I'm going for classic with a modern twist. It's all about that timeless elegance. This beautiful white tutu with delicate layers is perfect for showing off those pliés, and it pairs perfectly with my black leotard and some fierce ballet flats. I love the way it complements the sunny backdrop and lets my movements stand out.

But seriously, I'm all about having fun with tutus. Don’t think they have to be stuffy and traditional, it's all about personal style. Remember that amazing red tutu with all the sequins that I wore for that charity performance last month? That was a total statement piece. Sometimes I love a pop of colour or an eye-catching print for a little something extra.

Here in Queensland, ballet is booming. The dance scene is vibrant, and there's such a diverse range of talent! It's so exciting to see this kind of energy and passion. Whether you're a seasoned professional or a total newbie, everyone here has such a genuine appreciation for the art of dance.

So, here's my little call to action. Get out there and spin those tutus, gorgeous! Whether you're hitting the studio for a class or just strutting your stuff for a cheeky photoshoot, don't forget to tag me in your pics! #tututuesday is about embracing the joy of dance in all its forms, so get ready to celebrate all the beautiful dancers, aspiring and established, all over Queensland!

I'll be back with more fab finds and fashion inspiration. Until then, keep it fabulous, lovelies!

Tutu Trends & Tips

  • The Classic Romantic: For those who adore that timeless ballet look, a Romantic tutu is a must. Imagine those billowing layers, so light and airy they seem to defy gravity. Just the right choice for dreamy, elegant steps.
  • The Bold Statement: If you’re a daredevil and you love to make a statement, there's the Short Tutu! It’s all about showcasing your incredible legs and that fabulous leap. Remember my fire engine red number for the charity gala? That’s the kind of energy I’m talking about.
  • The Chic, Versatile: When in doubt, choose a Ballet Tutu. You can rock this for a contemporary class or a special performance. These beauties have less volume and can move effortlessly with any dance style.
