Tutu Tuesday in Greta, New South Wales: #tututuesday G'day lovelies! It's Tutu Tuesday in Greta, New South Wales and I'm feeling pretty darned excited. This little town might be quiet most of the time, but when it comes to tutus, we're practically on fire! And hey, you can't really talk about tutus without talking about ballet. For all you newbies out there, ballet in Australia has been booming. We've got the Aussie Ballet, the Sydney Dance Company, the Queensland Ballet – the list goes on. Every year, there's more and more ballet companies popping up, from the big city centres right through to regional hubs like our beloved Greta. It’s hard to pick a favourite tutu style. But for me, it’s the romantic classics. You know, the ones that swirl and billow and make you feel like you're floating. Think tulle, layers, and a generous sprinkling of sparkles. They’re just dreamy, and when I'm spinning in one of those, I feel like I could touch the stars! And then there are the more contemporary designs. They're sleek, they're modern, they’re all about highlighting the power and fluidity of the body. And while they may not be as flashy as a traditional tutu, they have their own special magic, and I totally dig how they make you feel like a total rockstar! Speaking of rockstars, a big thanks to my fave little tutu boutique down on Main Street, "The Ballerina's Closet". You girls are keeping this tutu dream alive! This shop literally has everything from the fluffiest to the most sleek, plus it’s full of everything a ballet girl needs – tights, pointe shoes, and all the essential dancewear. We’re getting ready to for a huge gala here in Greta next month. It's going to be a massive performance, featuring local ballet stars and professional dancers. And of course, we'll be bringing the tutus. We’re thinking a mix of romantic and modern, with some of those statement pieces that’ll make the crowd gasp. As a ballet dancer, a huge part of my life is dressing for dance and finding my style – and I love seeing how everyone else does it too!
