G'day lovelies! It's Tutu Tuesday and guess where I am? Berry, New South Wales! This little coastal town has captured my heart (and my Instagram feed!) with its quaint charm and stunning scenery. But today, I'm not here for the beaches, or the cafes, or the quaint shops - today, I'm here for the tutus!
As a ballerina, there's just something magical about a tutu, isn't there? It's more than just a skirt – it's a symbol of artistry, grace, and passion. It's a blank canvas for creative expression, and it's a reminder of the magic that ballet brings to our lives.
And believe me, when it comes to tutus, Berry doesn't disappoint!
Here are a few highlights from my Tutu Tuesday adventure:
* **A Parisian dream in a vintage boutique:** Forget the glitz and glam of the city! I stumbled across a hidden gem of a vintage boutique, tucked away in a back street. It was crammed full of treasures, including a few breathtaking tutus that looked like they were straight out of a Parisian ballet. We're talking wispy tulle, delicate lace, and the softest hues of blush and ivory – absolutely stunning!
* **Taking tutu shopping to a whole new level:** Did you know you can even buy tutus here in Berry? Well, not just any tutu. These are hand-made tutus by local designers. And when I say hand-made, I mean, handmade! I saw one that featured delicate floral embellishments that could only be achieved with a serious amount of patience and love. I felt like a kid in a candy store (with the added bonus of having fabulous taste!). This really added to my Berry Tutu Tuesday experience.
* **Tutus in the landscape:** My day wasn't just about shopping for tutus - it was also about taking inspiration from the breathtaking scenery around me. I ventured out onto the Berry headland, with the dramatic coastline behind me. With the ocean breeze swirling around me, I felt like I was in a scene from Swan Lake, and the soft, undulating waves below were like the famous rippling fabric of my tutu. Talk about nature inspired outfits!
* **Tutu Tuesday inspiration for all:** Let's face it, not every one of us can strut our stuff on stage with a grand jeté. But that doesn't mean we can't enjoy the fun and creativity of tutus. I mean, it's not every day that you can celebrate dance and fashion, and inspire others, right?
This little coastal town has certainly taken me by surprise! It’s more than just pretty, it's got soul and a creativity that will bring you back time and time again. The next time I head south to see the ballet, I’m making sure Berry is included on my road trip. It's not just a perfect spot for Tutu Tuesday, but a fabulous spot to create new memories and connect with your creative inner ballerina!
