Tutu Tuesday in Palm Island, Queensland: #tututuesday

Hey girlies! This week for #tututuesday we’re hitting the tropics with a fabulously flamboyant trip to Palm Island, Queensland! I've been so excited to bring the #tututuesday to the Sunshine State!

Okay, so you’re probably thinking "Tutus in the tropics? What is she on?" And, honestly, it was a bit of a hot one. But, let’s be real, even in the heart of summer, nothing stops a girl from embracing her inner ballerina, right? And I'm certainly no stranger to dressing for the occasion!

Firstly, a little disclaimer. I'm a ballet dancer. You might be saying to yourself, "Doesn't she need special tights and all?" To which I’d say “Absolutely!" So we went with a mesh style in black. Think of it as my ballet-meets-tropical-chic vibe! We even gave it a cute little, handmade embellishment with tiny white hibiscus blossoms, and I think they perfectly encapsulated the spirit of the island! We definitely had people asking us, “Is this some sort of flash mob?!” and, well, I couldn’t blame them, Palm Island's definitely not used to seeing tutus struttin' their stuff on the streets! 😜

So, the whole thing began with the most divine, fluffy tutu! Think **pale pink** – because let’s be honest, pink is always a good look. We took that fluffiness and transformed it with a dash of sparkle, just because who doesn’t love a bit of extra glam, right?! The pink tutu reminded me of those beautiful sunrise skies over the Coral Sea!

We even styled our tulle tutus with a few cute little Hawaiian-style flowers. They added a pop of vibrant colour, kind of like a burst of fresh tropical fruit! It felt a little rebellious – a tiny rebellion against the ordinary.

Next up, we brought a more contemporary look with a sleek black tutu. It was more understated, perfect for that sultry summer evening vibe. Plus, it let me showcase some moves, you know? Maybe even a few pirouettes and fouettes – I did try my best to keep it classy. 💅 We finished the look with a **navy blue** top, perfect for the Palm Island heat. 🌴

Now, a trip to Palm Island, especially on a hot summer's day wouldn’t be complete without some classic Aussie vibes. So, we styled the next look with a bright **yellow** tutu - which really channeled those bright yellow hibiscus blooms in the park. It really caught the sunlight. Plus, we paired it with a pair of classic Australian slouch socks – just a subtle nod to our heritage, you know? 😄

We made sure to take lots of snaps, obviously! A couple of fabulous shots along the foreshore in the golden hour light were a must. Seriously, the ocean’s vibrant blue hues and golden sunset were almost as breathtaking as our tutu’s! (I’m joking … mostly!😜)
