Tutu Tuesday in Jindera, New South Wales, Australia: #tututuesday

G'day lovelies! It's your girl, Sarah, back with another installment of my favourite day of the week, #tututuesday. This week, I'm bringing the tutu love right to the heart of rural Australia – Jindera, New South Wales, to be precise! I was recently invited to the annual Jindera Agricultural Show, and what better way to celebrate this Aussie tradition than with a splash of tulle, right?

As a ballerina, my love for tutus runs deep. They are an iconic symbol of our art form and a tangible reminder of the beauty, strength and grace that ballet embodies. There are just so many incredible styles - there’s the classic romantic tutu, a cloud of tulle for ethereal ballets, and the dramatic, fitted, and structured neoclassical tutu perfect for showcasing precise movement.

The show itself was buzzing with excitement, with livestock judging, shearing competitions, and delicious food stalls - but let's be honest, the real highlight for me was the chance to spread some tutu joy! I donned a classic romantic tutu in a soft shade of blush – I couldn't resist pairing it with some floral print accessories - totally giving me vintage vibes! And lemme tell ya, the crowd absolutely adored it.

Everywhere I went, people were asking to take photos and chatting about the beauty of ballet. I loved getting to share my passion with this fantastic community. They may be far from the big city dance studios, but there was an infectious excitement for art and expression - reminded me of the raw joy that drives the performing arts. It’s why I’m so committed to supporting ballet in Australia, especially in regional towns, it’s not always on the radar but it's important we nurture talent, no matter where it blooms.

The smiles, the conversations, and the shared sense of community - that's what made this Tutu Tuesday so special. This was more than just a chance to show off my favorite tutu, it was a reminder that dance transcends boundaries. It unites people, it creates beauty, and it speaks a language that’s understood by all! And hey, maybe #tututuesday can help inspire the next generation of ballet stars in Jindera - we can only dream!

So, whether you’re a ballet buff or simply looking for a little sparkle in your day, remember: the power of the tutu is real. Let’s spread some joy, support local arts communities, and maybe, just maybe, bring some magic to an ordinary day.

Till next week lovelies, stay sassy!
