Wollert, Victoria #tututuesday

G’day lovelies! It’s your girl, Lily here, back with another installment of #tututuesday. As a ballerina, living and dancing in beautiful Melbourne, Australia, it goes without saying that the tutu holds a special place in my heart! But this Tuesday is about so much more than just pretty dresses and tutus – it’s about a love for ballet in Australia and embracing your unique style.

A Love for Tutu Tuesdays

This whole #tututuesday thing started because I’m an absolute nut for anything and everything that brings joy to the world! A big part of that for me is my love for tutus! A great tutu can be everything – romantic, whimsical, dramatic! There are so many types: Romantic tulle tutus with billowing layers, the classic and structured pancake tutu, and the whimsical layered, or 'layered tulle' tutu that flows like liquid magic. I love all the colours, fabrics, and textures and finding the right one is always exciting!

But tutu Tuesday isn't just for ballerinas - it’s for everyone!

How to Celebrate Tutu Tuesday in Wollert

Let’s be honest, who doesn't love a bit of fun and silliness! #tututuesday is the perfect excuse to dress up in something that makes you smile. And it's great to get your inner fashionista out there! Whether you're in the mood for a cute, sweet look or want something bold and statement-making, tutu Tuesday gives you permission to unleash your creative side! We’re not afraid of a little whimsy in our wardrobe. So put on your favorite dress, tutu or even a tulle skirt (if that’s your thing), and rock the day. But if tutus aren't your style – let’s not forget you can make it all about accessories. Headbands, necklaces, shoes, all that jazz – it’s about adding that extra sparkle.

Here's how you can celebrate Tutu Tuesday in Wollert:

  • Start your day off right: Grab a coffee and a delicious croissant at a local café in a tutu-fied ensemble – the other patrons will thank you later. The Wollert Bakery & Cafe at Westfield Plenty Valley would be a great spot!
  • Treat yourself to a dance class: We’ve got a lovely local studio – A Dance Company Australia - if you're feeling extra adventurous, go for a beginner's ballet class. If you already have ballet experience, consider a fun jazz or contemporary class.
  • Get creative: Grab some tulle, craft supplies, and make your own tutu. It's fun, easy, and super satisfying. Wollert Central shopping centre would be the best place to shop.
  • Strut your stuff: Once you've donned your best #tututuesday gear, go for a stroll at Wollert Park, and embrace your tutu-ness, it’s a great place to catch a few laughs!
