Emu Plains, NSW: Tutu Tuesday – a celebration of twirls, tutus and the joy of dance
G'day, darlings! It's your girl, Amelia, here, back with another fashion fix, this time taking a trip to the magical world of ballet! We all know how much I adore the artistry and grace of this incredible form, and there's nothing quite like slipping into a beautiful tutu. It’s the epitome of feminine elegance and a true statement piece.
But let’s talk about Tutu Tuesday! Now, if you're not familiar, this whimsical celebration takes place every week, bringing together ballet enthusiasts from all walks of life to embrace the joy of dance and, of course, the iconic tutu. So naturally, I decided to spread some Tutu Tuesday love right here in Emu Plains, NSW, my little slice of paradise where I spend a good chunk of my time training and reflecting on all things dance.
Tutu Tuesday is a reminder that fashion and dance go hand in hand! For some, the day is all about rocking their favourite tutu - maybe a classic romantic style with a tiered skirt for a touch of drama, or a simple yet chic one with a shorter skirt, perfect for those twirling moments. And then there are the statement tutus - think bold colors, striking patterns, or maybe even some sparkle! The possibilities are endless.
And speaking of sparkle, I recently discovered a new ballet studio in town, "Ballet Brilliance." It's an absolute gem. They have a wide range of tutu styles, from those with flowing layers to shorter skirts adorned with sequins, and everything in between. Their tutu collection caters to a diverse range of styles, from classical to modern. Their selection has definitely upgraded my Tutu Tuesday game! They are passionate about celebrating the diverse styles of the dance world - and they love tutu Tuesday just as much as I do!
But tutu Tuesday isn’t just about looking glamorous, it’s a celebration of ballet in Australia, too! This beautiful form of art is more than just pretty dancing and a pretty skirt! Ballet’s about dedication, strength, and a whole lot of heart! And it’s wonderful seeing how much support ballet has right here in Emu Plains. You know, it’s truly amazing seeing all those ballet studios pop up across the country! Each studio boasts talented teachers who nurture their student’s passion, pushing them to become the best dancers they can be. And their passion for the art? That's truly inspiring.
Whether it's the classic, flowing tutus or those sassy and modern numbers, I'm here for it all! As for my personal tutu style for this Tutu Tuesday? I’m channeling a modern fairytale look with a white, softly layered tutu paired with a light blush tulle top and some dazzling statement jewelry. I am channeling elegance and effortless movement! And let me tell you, with the warm Emu Plains breeze, there's no better way to enjoy this sunny afternoon than twirling and twirling all around!
