Tutu Tuesday in East Hills, New South Wales: A Ballet Blogger's Paradise
Hey there, fashion-forward friends! It's your girl, Amelia, back with another Tutu Tuesday, this time live from the sunny shores (well, not exactly shores, but you know what I mean) of East Hills, New South Wales. Let me tell you, East Hills has really stepped up its ballet game in recent times, and I'm not just talking about the quality of the local ballet schools (although they *are* fantastic). No, I'm talking about the general appreciation for the art of dance and, of course, the glorious tutus.
Tutu Tuesday is a thing, y'all. It's a weekly celebration of all things tutus, and I'm so stoked to be joining the party right here in East Hills. As an Australian ballet dancer, and someone who just LOVES the style of a well-constructed tutu, I know firsthand the power of this whimsical piece of clothing.
The tutus I've spotted here in East Hills today have been seriously on-point! I'm seeing everything from the classic romantic tutus, with their flowing layers of tulle and ethereal elegance, to the more modern and edgy designs, with their unique silhouettes and bold colors.
One of my favorite sightings was a stunningly designed "Romantic Tutu" complete with handmade lace detail - you can't beat it! For a real blast of vibrant colour, the 'American Tutu' in neon pink caught my eye.
And then there are the tutus that have been given a cheeky little Aussie twist! It's incredible how East Hills dancers are able to make tutus their own - like adding a little bit of personality to each of them.
Honestly, I just love the way that people here in East Hills are expressing themselves through their tutus. It's a real reminder that dance is not just about technique, but also about art and expression. And there's no better way to express yourself than through the medium of a gorgeous tutu!
