Shoalhaven Heads, NSW: Tutu Tuesday, A Dance Through the Streets

Hey beautiful dancers and fashionistas! It’s your girl, Chloe, back with another dose of style and whimsy. This week, we're taking Tutu Tuesday to the breathtakingly beautiful Shoalhaven Heads.

With the sun glinting off the sparkling turquoise waters and the fresh sea air swirling through my hair, this beach town is a ballerina's paradise. And you know what’s even better? There's no dress code when it comes to Tutu Tuesday! So I’m pulling out all the stops for a true, authentic Shoalhaven Heads, New South Wales Tutu Tuesday!

Today, I'm channeling a mix of classic grace and seaside chic. Let's talk about the tutu! I’ve got a soft, floaty tulle number, in a breezy lavender hue that feels perfect for a beach day. A touch of pink ombre towards the hem adds a touch of playful contrast. Remember, when you’re looking for that perfect Tutu Tuesday tutu, you’ve got endless options. A classically short, frilly tutus is iconic for ballet. For a modern feel, opt for a longer tutu that hits just above your knee. Don’t be afraid to try a tutu made of silky fabric like satin or velvet!

And how could we forget the footwear? I'm trading in my pointe shoes for a pair of delicate, floral-patterned sandals – practical, comfortable and oh-so-chic. My outfit screams "Ballet with a touch of sunshine!" I’ve accessorized with delicate, gold jewelry that catches the sunlight perfectly and a large sun hat for extra shade.

First, I'm hitting the iconic Shoalhaven Heads Lighthouse for some Insta-worthy shots. Imagine: me in a twirling, lavender tutu against the rugged cliffs, the sapphire waters in the background. Picture perfect, right? Then, I'll be indulging in a spot of beachside brunch. And nothing screams beachside brunch like an adorable floral dress paired with a floaty, ballerina-esque skirt!

So, if you’re in the Shoalhaven Heads region this week, look for a fellow Tutu Tuesday enthusiast. I’m on the lookout for you, fellow ballerinas, let's make Shoalhaven Heads our personal Tutu Tuesday dancefloor. Just be sure to pack some SPF! It’s a day to celebrate dance, fashion, and most importantly, fun. A Quick Guide to the Tutu Types:

  • The Classic Short Tutu: The go-to for any ballerina, perfect for performances. Look for soft, lightweight tulle in a range of colors.
  • The Long Tutu: More modern and feminine, try it with a cute top or tank!
  • The Romantic Tutu: If you want to bring the fairytale vibes to your look, embrace a romantic tulle tutu that can be paired with a bodice or blouse.
  • The Asymmetrical Tutu: Adds a touch of bold modern elegance, a little more avant-garde and perfect for those wanting a unique look.
  • The Practical Tutu: For a Tutu Tuesday that is more "lifestyle" focused, look for a tutu with a fabric that makes your Tutu Tuesday extra comfy, like a skirt you can dance in on the beach. You're still looking chic, but you're also keeping things fun.
