Tutu Tuesday in Woori Yallock, Victoria: A Tutu-licious Celebration of Dance Woori Yallock, Victoria - Hey fellow dance lovers, it’s your girl, Chloe here, and I'm so excited to share all the fun and frocks of our latest #tututuesday outing! If you don't know already, every Tuesday is Tutu Tuesday, and it’s become the best reason to put on my favourite tutu, grab some mates and dance the afternoon away. We took over the gorgeous Woori Yallock park. Can I just say it was seriously idyllic. The setting couldn't have been more perfect with its lush greenery and picturesque surroundings. Imagine – ballet under a clear blue sky with the sun dappling through the trees. So magical! And what did we wear? I pulled out my fave "Romantic tutu," the one with the multiple layers of soft tulle, all floating and pretty, the ultimate in feminine elegance. You can’t go wrong with a Romantic. And my girl Amy opted for a bold and sassy "Neoclassical" tutu. A short, crisp tutu made from stiff nylon or satin, this one is about showing off those legs and powerful moves. But you guys, this isn't just about the twirls - it's about embracing a community, about making memories, and letting loose in the name of all things ballet. Tutu-fied Traditions in a Sea of Pink Every Tuesday brings its own charm. There are different faces each time – new dancers who might be hesitant at first, but they always warm up to the positive energy of our tutu crew. But I have to give a shoutout to a few regulars who know how to make a Tuesday spectacular!
• **Brenda the 'ballerina grandma' ** You won’t believe it – Brenda, this lovely woman in her late seventies, has become a real inspiration! Brenda always makes an effort for #tututuesday and her radiant smile is enough to melt any heart. • **The 'tutus & frocks' twins** Sarah and Fiona – always dressed in perfect tutus, coordinated down to the shoes. Sometimes we get matched frocks with them too! We’re even thinking about matching our hair. • **The "petit pointe shoes" group ** It's truly heartwarming to see such young aspiring dancers taking to the ballet shoes (especially since a couple of them started using pointe shoes). These girls are a constant reminder of the joy that ballet brings and the magic of these #tututuesdays. And while we were stretching and pirouette-ing, it was impossible not to be drawn into conversations. There's something about sharing this love for ballet with like-minded souls. Beyond Woori Yallock: A Tutu Revolution We’re finding our little group, #tututuesday, is attracting new faces all the time. Maybe it’s our positivity, our infectious energy, or maybe it's our infectious smiles. The real reason – people are just loving the tutu life. It's a trend I’m calling "Tutu Revolution," a celebration of freedom and a reminder that there’s magic in every twirl! Let's be honest - there's nothing quite as empowering as donning a tutu, knowing that you're in good company. I love how #tututuesdays bring women (and men) together in our shared love of dance, community, and laughter. But you know what – I think it’s becoming more than just a local thing. I see pictures from all over Australia – people rocking their tutus! It's as if there's a collective, invisible network of tutu-loving folks across the nation.
• Sydney - there’s a Tutu Thursday with girls and guys dancing under the iconic Sydney Opera House.
• Melbourne – Melbourne loves its tutus, they have a whole Tutu Tuesdays crew too – maybe we can do a big Aussie meet up.
• Brisbane – we hear there are a lot of tutu lovers up there, #tututuesday vibes are seriously strong, people are really taking it up a notch, from yoga and pilates classes, they even have themed tutu events at the cafe.
• Perth – there are a few tutus spotted near Kings Park – the backdrop for an Aussie #tututuesdays meet up.
You see, there’s this incredible collective spirit in all things #tututuesday, and it doesn't end there – across the globe, people are joining in with their own fun and exciting interpretations. I’ve even seen tutus making waves on social media all the way in New York and London! If you want to join our Woori Yallock community, come join us next Tuesday at 1.30pm by the picnic benches at the park. Don your tutus, bring your positive energy, and prepare to unleash your inner ballerina. I know it will be the perfect Tuesday, filled with tutu-licious fun and memorable twirls! And hey, you never know who you'll meet and what magical moments await you in this #tututuesday paradise! I’m so excited for our next #tututuesday and we hope to see you there! Keep sharing your photos on social media, and let’s all make the world a little brighter with some beautiful tutus. You’ve got this! Love Chloe, Your girl from Woori Yallock.
