Tutu Tuesday in Heathcote, Victoria: A Tutu-tastic Day Out #tututuesday Okay, tutu lovers, let's talk Tutu Tuesday in Heathcote, Victoria! It's officially my favourite day of the week (don't tell my mum), and let me tell you, Heathcote totally brought it! Now, Heathcote is this beautiful little town in the Goulburn Valley, about an hour and a half north of Melbourne. And guess what? It's got a seriously cool arts scene, even though it might not be the first place you'd think to find a tutu-filled celebration! This week, the Heathcote Arts & Cultural Precinct decided to make a "Tutu Tuesday" event happen, and boy did it go off! I had to make the drive, you guys. The call of the tutu is strong, and I knew I'd be kicking myself later if I didn't get my fix. I even popped my new tulle tutu on! You know, the one with the blush pink layer that just melts into a vibrant, cerulean blue. Total fairytale vibes, and totally rocking the #TutuTuesday vibe. The Heathcote Cultural Precinct went all out, with a market filled with the cutest, most gorgeous local crafters selling everything from jewellery to handmade candles to… *drum roll* tutu accessories! There was a little pop-up shop offering vintage dancewear that I almost lost my mind in. It was a dreamland for ballerinas and dance enthusiasts alike. You can’t talk about Heathcote’s tutu party without mentioning the performances! The Heathcote Ballet Academy did this mind-blowing demonstration of their incredible talent. There were classical pieces that took my breath away, some super energetic and fun numbers, and even a hip hop routine! Talk about diversity! What makes this Tutu Tuesday in Heathcote, Victoria so amazing is it brought the entire community together. You had grandparents sharing stories of when they used to wear tutus, families having photos with their kids rocking little tutu sets, and a bunch of dancers showing off their amazing skills. It was a heartwarming experience that totally makes you realise how ballet is growing and reaching new heights in Australia. But it's not all tutus, you guys! * We were lucky enough to have a pop-up tutu-inspired high tea in the prettiest setting! We're talking lace tablecloths, tiny sandwiches, and a cake that literally had a tutu topper! My Insta pics were lit. * There were tons of activities for the kiddies - face painting, tutu-making, even a "Tutu Design" competition for kids, which was adorable, judging by the cute little dancers and their little homemade tutu creations. They totally inspired me. * And we couldn't let the occasion pass without a "Tutu Parade," a whimsical procession of adults and children all sporting tutus! It was such a sight – we had a classic pink tutu here, a quirky feather boa tutu there, and even someone in a sparkly rainbow tutu. It was totally inspiring! Heathcote really delivered, and honestly, it reminded me why I love being a ballerina, why I love my dance community, and why I think every single person needs a tutu in their life (yes, you too). It's about being confident, being yourself, and having fun! That's what it’s all about, don’t you think? Oh, and if you haven't caught the Tutu Tuesday fever yet, you are missing out! If you are in the Heathcote area next week, or any Tuesday for that matter, keep an eye out. You never know, you might find yourself caught in a tutu whirlwind, too. And hey, don’t forget to check out #tututuesday! You can catch me showcasing all my #TutuTuesday goodness there!
