Tutu Tuesday in Baranduda, Victoria: A Dance of Colour and Creativity
Hey darlings! It's your girl, Chloe, back with another blog post all about #tututuesday. This week I decided to take my tutu obsession to the streets of Baranduda, Victoria.
As a ballet dancer, you know I'm all about the classics. And, let's be honest, a classic tutu is a timeless piece of art. That perfect mix of flowing fabric and elegant structure? Dreamy! But for #tututuesday, I was craving something a little bit bolder, something a little bit...extra! And let's be real, in the world of ballet and fashion, 'extra' is definitely a good thing. So I decided to put a modern spin on the classic tutus.
And because I'm a proud Aussie gal, my tutu picks were a total homage to the incredible talent we have in our very own Australian ballet scene. We've got such a thriving ballet community in Melbourne and all over Australia, so it only made sense to support Aussie brands. I love the iconic tutus from The Australian Ballet, but today, I chose to style some stunners from the equally brilliant Sasharina Dancewear. For the shoot, I wore a black tulle tutu paired with a fluffy feather boa – because honestly, a little bit of sparkle never hurts! The black tutu is one of my fave styles. It has that perfect blend of sophistication and a little bit of rebelliousness that is seriously striking. Think: a dark and mysterious dance under the city lights!
Later, we moved on to a more playful pastel tutu with layers and layers of soft pink tulle. Now this little number was just gorgeous, perfect for bringing a touch of romance and grace into my Tuesday. We styled it with a simple white crop top. It's the ultimate ballet meets boho look that I'm absolutely obsessed with. Think 'Breakfast at Tiffany's' but with a Melbourne cafe vibe, ya know?
