Tutu Tuesday in Port Keats, Northern Territory: A Whirlwind of Tutu Fun #tututuesday G’day, fellow fashionistas! It’s your girl, Chloe, here, back with another instalment of your weekly dose of all things tulle and twirls! This week, I’m taking you all the way to the Top End for a Tutu Tuesday like no other! Port Keats, Northern Territory – what a breathtaking place. You know, sometimes I think this whole ballet dancer life means that I have to do a bit more travel to make sure everyone knows the artform lives and breathes all over our vast land. My tutu game is always on point, no matter what the location – you can trust me for a good outfit choice! Let’s be honest, nothing can stop a dedicated dancer – not even a cyclone – and yes I was there for Cyclone Marcus. From the cobblestone streets of Paris to the sun-baked streets of Port Keats, I'm here to tell you, darling, Tutu Tuesday knows no geographical boundaries! So ditch the khaki shorts and embrace the graceful twirl with me! The moment I touched down in Port Keats, the vibe was electric, just like the vibrant energy of a new ballet piece. Everyone I met, from the local craftspeople selling their exquisite wares in the marketplace to the charming staff at the local pub – a shout-out to the barkeep at the “Crocodile Corner”, everyone just oozed that ‘it’ factor! The sun setting on the harbour painted the sky in the most incredible hues of pink and orange. My friends and I took a walk along the harbour front, watching the sunset. We couldn't help but grab our favourite poses for a couple of pics, complete with dramatic tutu flutters – a bit of performance wherever we go, isn’t it? And, it’s an amazing thing to do in this country! I swear, every now and then, the people just know when the tutu moment calls for a photoshoot – the lighting seems to always be just right and it seems to attract an appreciative crowd! The whole thing felt magical, and there’s truly something to be said about that! So, let’s break down this week's tutu-ific ensemble: * A light-as-a-feather, peachy pink, romantic, classical tutu from the iconic House of Tutu in Melbourne! I call this one my “Port Keats Princess” - it was just too fitting for this amazing outback destination. And let me tell you, the layers of soft tulle created the most delicate, fairytale-esque silhouette – oh-la-la, what a look! * Now, for my top – I kept it super-chic and effortlessly breezy with a linen halter-neck blouse that paired perfectly with my dusty pink, pearl, and rose gold toned jewelled ballet slippers - just gorgeous! * This look is all about embracing a classic silhouette with a modern edge, blending the ethereal quality of ballet with the carefree vibe of Port Keats. * The soft glow of the sunset, the rhythmic murmur of the waves gently lapping at the shore, and my twirling - oh, it was everything! You could almost hear the melody of “Swan Lake” being played out as my feet skimmed across the beach. My Port Keats tutu twirl was more than just a photo op; it was a tribute to the raw beauty of the Northern Territory, its welcoming community and of course, the artform of ballet! As always, the highlight was the reactions. The sheer joy on the faces of locals who watched as I spun around on the beach with a massive, beaming smile plastered across my face! There was a shared love of beauty in the air that only ballet could evoke! If you are looking for a unique travel adventure, I recommend checking out the Top End of our great country. Port Keats, for all its charm and unique character, is the perfect place to capture the most gorgeous photos in your tutu! Don’t forget, darlings, your daily dose of dance is a must! Stay twirling and stay beautiful! Until next week, keep the passion for ballet alive – wherever you are in the world! #tututuesday
