Tutu Tuesday in Angaston, South Australia: Where Ballet Meets Aussie Charm
Hey darlings,
Itās your gal, Amelia, here, fresh from another #TutuTuesday adventure ā this time in the delightful town of Angaston, South Australia. Let me tell you, the vibe here is absolutely sensational! You'd think finding tutu-worthy places in a charming little town like Angaston would be a challenge, but hold your horses, it's a total dream! Itās actually brimming with inspiration for a tutu-wearing ballet chick like myself.
Here's a rundown of the best tutu moments I encountered, Angaston-style:
* **The Local Cafe, Tutu'd Up:** First things first, coffee and a croissant! Itās a must for any decent Tutu Tuesday, especially when the cafĆ© itself embraces the ballerina theme. The Angaston Coffee Club - what a find! The barista, a total fashionista (no wonder she was working with coffee) - suggested I try the new āSwan Lakeā latte with a side of macarons, in pink, of course! So pretty. Talk about a photo-op. The swirling latte art in the soft pink latte with a swirl of white foam on top and delicate little macaron treats alongside made me feel like I was back in the rehearsal room with my favourite costume on - just substitute my dance shoes with those darling little heeled slippers. You can just imagine the look on people's faces!
* **A Tutu Twirl in the Grape Vines:** Now, who would have thought that a vineyard would be so much fun to twirl around in my tutu? The "Angaston Estate Vineyard" wasn't your typical vineyard - it's a historic property with ancient vines and the owner told us it was "established well before any of us were born". I was so excited to be the first person to dance here. They were even excited for my performance in my favourite tulle tutu! This gorgeous white one from a local ballet store reminded me of the fluffy cloud tutu in āSwan Lake.ā You know the one Iām talking about - all dreamy and delicate like feathers.
* **Tutu Town:** After a quick detour to get some photos at the local āTutu Town' , a sweet little boutique selling all things ballet - they've got leotards and tights and even some super stylish tutu styles in every colour, from pale pink to vibrant electric blue. My go-to? Well, this time it was my āpink and black feathered tutuā with my classic ballet shoes - I'm totally rocking it! - You know, the ones I always choose for āballet barreā and 'swan' routines, haha.
* **Garden Elegance: Tutus and Terracotta:** The "Angaston Lavender Farm" wasn't your typical flower farm ā this place had the most exquisite landscaping, with ancient terracotta pots and stonework everywhere. The lavender fields were something out of a dream and I took some seriously stunning pics there! Imagine a backdrop of vibrant purple blooms, paired with the delicate swirls of my tutu - pure magic.
* **Dancing Through History:** The āAngaston Historic Railway Stationā made the perfect stage for a ballet-themed photoshoot. And I donāt know what I love more - the history or the adorable, little, vintage train carriages! This gorgeous building reminded me of an old European ballet theatre, which just added to the feeling of glamour and artistry, And the best part? You can even hop on the antique train and journey to neighbouring towns - imagine how fun it would be to have your own personal train tour in a tutu? I know!
* **Tutu Under the Stars:** Ending the day, what better than an amazing, Australian night sky full of sparkling stars above, while sharing a yummy dessert with some new friends! Whatās a girl gotta do? Well, I made sure the night sky was my back drop and my pink, white and sparkly āPrincess tutuā did its thing for a stunningly memorable moment under the Australian stars! It reminded me of the first time I saw the stars under a real, beautiful night sky, the feeling was intoxicating ā Youāve got to admit, it makes for a memorable #TutuTuesday adventure!

So, there you have it, darlings ā a Tutu Tuesday in Angaston. What I love is that this tiny town was full of unexpected and surprising spots for a girl to do her Tutu thing, Iāll definitely be adding Angaston to the list of best #TutuTuesday destinations ā and you should too!
