Tutu Tuesday in Moonee Beach, New South Wales, Australia - #tututuesday

It's your girl, Amelia, back with another blog post straight from the beautiful beaches of Moonee Beach. And this week, we're talking about Tutu Tuesday. Because, honestly, who doesn't love a good twirl in a tutu, right?
I'm not gonna lie, this week I've been absolutely drowning in tutus. It's a good problem to have, don't you think? It all started with this amazing vintage number I found at a little antique shop in Coffs Harbour. It's a classic black tulle with a sweetheart neckline - a real fairytale princess vibes kind of thing. But then, my mates and I got chatting about Tutu Tuesday and I went a little tutu-crazy!
So, here are some of my Tutu Tuesday highlights that are all kinds of fabulous. Remember girls, it's not about the outfit, it's about the feeling you get rocking it!
- First up, the iconic classic - a short tutu in a vibrant emerald green. This baby is all about a bit of fun and mischief! Perfect for twirling on the beach with the sea breeze in your hair, or just running wild at your local dance studio.
- Then there's the long and graceful ballerina number - think sheer layers of ivory tulle with delicate floral embroidery. This is the tutu that screams elegance and poise. I absolutely love rocking this one for a sunset walk on the boardwalk. The light filtering through the tulle makes it glow!
- For the bold and edgy - there's a short, asymmetrical tutu with a dramatic feathered trim in black and ruby red. This is not your grandma's tutu, it's a statement piece and oh-so-rock 'n' roll. Definitely best for a night out dancing at the pub!
- Lastly, you can't go wrong with the simple, sweet tutu in powder pink. I picked this up from a cute little shop in Coffs Harbour, and it reminds me so much of my favourite childhood ballet teacher. This one is perfect for everything from a picnic in the park to a cheeky Instagram photo shoot.
Tutu Tuesday is more than just a fashion trend, it's a reminder that there's still a little girl in all of us, longing to twirl, jump, and feel free. It's a celebration of our femininity, our creativity, and the pure joy of moving our bodies. And honestly, isn't that something we all need a little more of these days? So, put on your favourite tutu, blast some music, and get twirling. Remember, Tutu Tuesday isn't about looking perfect, it's about having fun and feeling fabulous!
Tips for rocking a Tutu
- Don't be afraid to experiment! Mix and match different tutu styles, colors, and fabrics to find what works best for you. A white tutu can be amazing for a hot summer day!
- Get creative with your accessories. A statement necklace, earrings, or headband can take your look to the next level. But sometimes less is more, a simple necklace and some ballet shoes or sneakers really tie a look together.
- Most importantly, wear it with confidence!
