Tutu Tuesday in Park Ridge, Queensland - A Tutu Tale #tututuesday G'day lovelies! It's Tutu Tuesday, and I'm here to share my love of tutus with all of you beautiful dancers in the great wide world, especially my fellow Australians. This week, I'm kicking off #tututuesday in my own backyard - Park Ridge, Queensland - a place that's more known for its rolling hills and leafy suburbs than its high-fashion tutu scene. But you know me, I love to challenge conventions and prove that fashion isn't just about Parisian runways and Milanese catwalks. It's about embracing your individuality and expressing yourself in a way that feels authentically you. And for me, that means tutus. They are an art form all their own, you know, just like the dance itself. So today, I'm putting the spotlight on tutus. There are so many styles - from the classic romantic tutu to the edgy modern tutu - each with its own unique personality and character. **A Tutu for Every Occasion - What's Your Style?** * **The Romantic Tutu:** Think "Swan Lake," "Giselle" - flowing, delicate, and feminine. Imagine ethereal tulle layers, all wispy and soft, moving effortlessly like a whisper of smoke on a stage. * **The Modern Tutu:** Think "Tchaikovsky's Pathétique Symphony," "Black Swan," edgy, and cutting edge. These are often shorter and structured, designed to highlight sharp lines and bold movements. You've gotta have some guts to rock a modern tutu! * **The Contemporary Tutu:** This is the chameleon of the tutu world. Combining the beauty of the classical with the edge of the modern. There are no set rules. Anything goes. A little romantic with a splash of the contemporary. I love finding those perfect mix-and-match combinations, especially when it's a creation from some of Australia's exciting and creative up-and-coming young designers. **#tututuesday - Spreading the Tutu Love** You'll find that no matter where you go in Australia, ballet is thriving. There's a fantastic community of passionate dancers across the country. Brisbane is brimming with so many studios and so many beautiful and talented people who live and breathe ballet. Just yesterday, I saw the cutest little ballerina, maybe 7 years old, all dolled up in her perfect little pink tutu, leaving the studio after a class. She radiated pure joy! I knew then that tutu love has got to be contagious! Today, I want to challenge all you amazing Aussie ballet dancers - from Park Ridge, Queensland, to all corners of the continent - to embrace your inner ballerina and rock your tutus with confidence. Join the #tututuesday movement, snap a picture in your most fabulous tutu, share it on your social media and let's fill the world with tulle. We all have that ballerina spirit within, waiting to be unleashed. Don't be shy, let the world see you shine! *Disclaimer: The #tututuesday movement is all about inclusivity.
